Curious is an amazing book!!!! Hope you really enjoy it.

I read it several times for high school and college courses and then once again on my own later on. I enjoyed it much much much more when I didn't have a professor picking the book apart and telling me what my opinions of the book and characters should be. Enjoy!

You're right! When I had eye surgery, I listened to audiobooks and for some reason loved non-fiction, which I never read ordinarily. I listened to Frank McCourt's "Angela..."
Thanks for the book suggestions. Did you read them or listen?

Thats about Vampires isnt it?

Lori, you'll be happy to know I finished The Beach and it was AMAZING!! I described it to a friend as "most of the book is cruising along happily, bits of tension to keep it interesting, then you start picking up speed and WHAM! The ending is like hitting a brick wall at 100mph." Complete mind-f**k too if you'll excuse the language, but HIGHLY recommended. I'm now reading the Chronicles of Narnia series, needed something a bit lighter after than one :).

Hi everyone! I love Margaret Atwood books. The Handmaiden's Tale is my favorite! Her newest one is Year of the Flood and if you liked Crake and Oryx you will like her new one.

I can't wait to see what you think of Vida's book. I'm going to read it soon (along with another Eggers, probably What is the What or The Wild Things) and I'm really looking forward to it.

Dirty Job is my second favorite Moore book too (but Fool is my first).

I think now I'm going to start on Ursula, Under by Ingrid Hill.

Cathie Pelletier is also K. C.

I am still in the middle of A People's History of the United States, but I am trying to read some fiction simultaneously, because it's not the kind of thing I can just plow through.

I just started to read The War of the Flowers by Tad Williams. It's my first book from him and so far so good.

So far it does seem somewhat based on the book, at least lightly based -- same initial premise (although in the book, the 'flashforward' is 20 years in the future), at least one common name so far (though I won't tell you which one!).

THanks! (I'm embarassed to say I've not heard of her before)

Laura, the book is quite different from the show, I am not sure where the show is going as far as who caused this and what the outcome will be, but the book was very enjoyable... You will like them both, I am sure, for different reasons ☺
