High fives, indeed! Maybe even a "high ten" . . .

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check it out!
I finally finished The Princes of Ireland. It was just okay. The second half could have been called "A History of the English (Tudors) in Dublin." I would have been more interested in seeing what was going on in the rest of the country.I've already almost finished Queen of the Darkness. I just love this fantasy series!
I've been on holiday and finally got Lolita finished! Moving onto The Reader. I've gone a little crazy buying books lately so have a million to get through! :)
I'm starting to read "The villa", by Nora Roberts (as for "The tenth circle", I cant't say that I didnt't like it, but it wasn't her best... I couldn't really empathize with Trixie)
Just started Unwind after seeing a recommendation on this thread, I believe. Good so far. Also, listening to Made in the U.S.A. which I am really enjoying, the narrator is great!
I'm currently reading The Meaning of Night by Michael Cox. I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It moves along like sludge running uphill, but I occasionally like books like that.
I started to read The Departed A Novel but I didn't realize when I swapped for it that it was a Christian Chiller. Not really my thing. I did really try to give it a chance because the story sounded interesting but I couldn't get into it. So I went back to Tower Hill which is infinitely better.
Finally finished Angel's Game. That book took me forever to read (well two weeks but it felt like an eternity. Now I am onto The Memory Keeper's Daughter. I also leave for Florida on Friday and will be taking along The Tenth Justice and Nineteen Minutes.
Just finished The Forest of Hands and Teeth. It's a decent read if you don't mind hearing a lot about people being savaged by zombies, but I didn't get what all the hype was about.
I'm still reading The Time Traveler's Wife and trying to finish it before the weekend so I can go see the movie!
Ana wrote: "I'm starting to read "The villa", by Nora Roberts (as for "The tenth circle", I cant't say that I didnt't like it, but it wasn't her best... I couldn't really empathize with Trixie)"I agree with you about The Tenth Circle!
I started Succubus Heat this weekend.Hopefully I will be done tonight because I have Relentless by Dean Konntz to start and finish by Friday. It's a 7 day loner and i can't renew.
I finished The God of Small Things over the weekend, which I was thoroughly impressed with - talk about a beautifully written book. I started on The Girl Who Played with Fire this morning.
Have you read anything else by Scott? People keep telling me how wonderful she is. I read Living Dead Girl and it was fine but nothing spectacular or original.
Ana wrote: "I'm starting to read "The villa", by Nora Roberts (as for "The tenth circle", I cant't say that I didnt't like it, but it wasn't her best... While trying to create a suspense, Jodi doesn't concentrate much on this character.
Aths wrote: "I just finished with Nineteen Minutes and absolutely loved it!! Just started The Catcher in the Rye and looking good so far!"Good to know b/c I want to read Nineteen Minutes!!! And I'm finally reading The Time Traveler's Wife.
Kristin wrote: "I'm reading Thirteenth Tale right now and am about 220ish pages in. Once I'm done i'll be reading Time Travelers Wife so that I can go see the movie!"I'm SO jealous...wish I was just now reading Thirtenth Tale, I LOVED that book and that I still had The Time Travelers Wife to look forward to. How fun!
Speaking of YA, ;-) Coming out of the Time Traveler's Wife and the Reader, I finished The Book Thief yesterday. I hated the first 50 pages, couldn't "get" why death kept breaking in with more side information. I tolerated the next 100 pages, kept reading to the mid point, and then, the sky opened and the slightest ray of sun crept in and I read the second half yesterday--and I loved it. Last night I started The Heretic's Daughter by Kathleen Kent...Wow what a book. I put everything on hold this evening and took to my lounge chair to read for two hours. Now am heading to bed to read some more. Love this book. Next? The Miracles of Santo Fico by DL Smith and On Agate Hill by Lee Smith and then to The Lace Reader.
I finished ANNA KARENINE and I really enjoyed it. Now I am picking up THE HISTORIAN by Elizabeth Kostova. I think I have tried to read it before, but I could be wrong.
i finished at first sight [nicholas sparks:] & wasn't that impressed. now, i'm reading belong to me by marisa de los santos. i'm only 3 or 4 chapter in, but so far, i like it.
@(G)Emma: unfortunately I don't remember book 1 that well... I think they seem about equally good. I found the story -- the revelations, getting to know the world -- more exciting in book 1, but kind of like the characters better now they've gotten to know each other better. Except I don't like how Jace is becoming a jerk.
Recently finished Rules (4 stars), The Magician's Assistant (2 stars), and The Last Days of Dogtown A Novel (1 star). Just beginning Hannah's Dream A Novel .
Finished Motherless Brooklyn last night and LOVED IT. I picked up Julie & Julia and am surprised at how much I'm enjoying it. It's a very quick, fun read, I'm almost finished with it as well!
Just started The Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult on lunch. I was only able to get through the first chapter, but it was a Great chapter.
I just finished Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill (a.k.a. Stephen King's son) and it was okay. I usually don't like to read scary stories, but this one was a quick read and fairly enjoyable.
I'm about to start Jonathon Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke. It has some good reviews, but is a little out of the genre I normally read. I'm hoping for the best!

Ooh, Jessica, I loved Motherless Brooklyn too. I'm working my way through Three Cups of Tea One Man's Mission to Promote Peace . . . One School at a Time, which I'm liking but which is taking me a surprisingly long time to read.
I am currently reading The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice...I had put it on hold while I read The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffeneggar...which I loved!! Now I am excited to finish Lestat and start another great book.
At the moment I'm just re-reading J.R.R. Tolkien's The Fellowship of the Ring and antoine De Saint-Exupery's The Little Prince =)
I'm reading "Switchback" by Stevenson and Bade. It's a time travel. It's kind of slow in places then gets very exciting, just to slow again. I'll suspend more comments until I finish.
I'm reading Howard's End by E.M. Forster. Really wasn't sure going into it how I'd feel about it, as I loved A Room With A View, hated Where Angels Fear to Tread and was lukewarm about A Passage to India. So far so good, but I'm over 100 pages in and not really sure what it's supposed to be about yet.

Finished B is for Burglar. Even better than the first, I think.
Now I will start The Sunday Night Book Club a "Breast Cancer Awareness Book Ring" - 24 short stories. I recognize only two authors, Alexander McCall Smith and Tracy Chevalier, but it should be fun.
Will also start (soon) The Story of Edgar Sawtelle - I re-read Hamlet recently so I should be prepared!!

I would love to hear what you think of Edgar Sawtelle, Hayes. I have that in my TBR pile, but actually forgot I even had it until you just mentioned it...God, that's bad.
Beth wrote: "Recently finished Rules (4 stars), The Magician's Assistant (2 stars), and The Last Days of Dogtown A Novel (1 star). Just beginning [book:Hannah's Dream ..."Beth: I would be interested to hear what you think of Hannah's Dream. Obviously, after giving it a 5 you know I loved it.
Just finished Harlan Coben's Long Lost and really enjoyed it. In fact, I just about broke the land speed record reading it. Coben is a master and very, very funny. I'm thinking about starting Mudbound by Hillary Jordan.

Tolkien's my favourite author around. I love his imagination, the way he was able to create such a world and his prose =D
