What are you reading?

I'm reading American Gods and I really like it. I'm near the end, so I make pauses often. Just don't want to finish it and enjoy a little more...
I just finished The Final Victim by Wendy Corsi Staub....a really good thriller. Now on to some YA fiction.....Living Dead Girl by Elizabeth Scott.
I'm nearing the end of "Watership Down." It's been an enjoyable read and I'm finding it harder and harder to put down the further along I go.
Looks like I'll be finished The Amaranth Enchantment in the next hour or so and then I'll be starting on another YA book - May Bird and the Ever After Book One.
Fiona wrote: "I still wanna read this, but not sure if I can get round to it yet lol."Oh, you definately should! It's SOOOOOO good. It grabbed me from the first page and hasn't let go yet! I'm sitting here at work just dying to go home and finish it. I'm having withdrawls! :)
Liz wrote: "I just finished Jane Green's Swapping lives. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Anyone else who has read it?"i read this at the beach a few years ago. i enjoyed it, but i can see how some readers may not have been too thrilled with it.

You would probably really enjoy Pride and Promiscuity: The Lost Sex Scenes of Jane Austen. They're fake sex scenes of Austen by the style is really convincing. They are hysterical.

Really, that is hilarious. Do you know who wrote it?
Still reading Shadow of the Wind, but also started Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult, about 130 pages into it, so good so far, but I am waiting for the mother to find out about his plan.
I pushed my other books aside for the night so I could start Fragile Eternity which came into the library for me today. Gah! So excited!

I read Wicked Lovely, but still have Ink Exchange to read. I will be reading it soon, so I can get to Fragile Eternity, when it comes in from Amazon.
It's weird because Fragile Eternity is actually the sequel to Wicked Lovely, but Ink Exchange deals with the same world.

It was written by Seth Grahame-Smith, though amazon also lists Jane Austen as the author.
Finished Living Dead Girl.....thought it was a really great book, but absolutely hated the end. Now I'm reading The Pact by Jodi Picoult.
Chrystal wrote: "Finished Living Dead Girl.....thought it was a really great book, but absolutely hated the end. Now I'm reading The Pact by Jodi Picoult."I loved The Pact, but I can't think of anyone who liked the ending.
Ooohhh, Lenoir. Let me know if that is as good as I'm hearing. I picked up that one recently but it's still waiting for me on my TBR shelf.
Finally reading Sweet Far Thing by Libra Bray. It is a hefty book (819 pages)... I am on page 200 and so far I am not disappointed. I am trying to savor this one since it is the last in the trilogy.
A Traveller's Companion to DublinThis book was so interesting. So much history was told through letters, parts of biographies, diaries...about the city I live in now.
Angela, The Sweet Far Thing is fantastic, when you finish it there is a Gemma Doyle thread, you should definately share your opinions!I finished The Diary of Anne Frank and am now reading I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith. It's wonderful so far.
Lenoir wrote: "I just started The Help by Katheryn Stockett."It is very good so far. It's quite a page turner. I'm having a hard time putting it down.

I'll bet you'll end up loving and anxiously awaiting the next in the series with the rest of us:)
I had started reading The Well of Lost Plots (3rd in the Thursday Next series), but I've decided to go with The Titan's Curse (3rd in the Percy Jackson series) instead. Because of the Spring Challenge, I feel like I need to get some of my books read quickly, since I've fallen a bit behind where I'd wanted to be. Like the other books in the Thursday Next series, The Well of Lost Plots seems really contrived to me. It IS (being it's a fantasy), of course, but I wish it weren't glaringly obvious. I'll have to get back to it later.
I just got finished reading the California Series by Cathy Marie Hake.LETTER PERFECT and BITTERSWEET.
I am currently reading the 2nd book in the Texas series by the same author:
FOREVERMORE
I just finished THE HUNGER GAMES. I really liked it. Then I finished THE QUEEN OF BABBLE by Meg Cabot. I can't wait for the next 2 in the series.
Reading Goodnight Nobody by Jennifer Wiener. Easy read and fun so far. Need some easy reading while I am finishing up my grad work. My brain can't handle anything to heavy right now.
finished The Mistress of the Art of Death last night. i started A Great and Terrible Beauty last week when i took my son to B&N, so i'll pick up where i left off with that. i also need to re-read (after 10 years) The Giver for the One Book, One Community read for my library group. that meets on monday, so i'll have to work on that over the weekend.
I just finished The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory about ten minutes ago. I'm planning on starting Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen sometime tonight.
I finished The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants (awesome!) and am now reading The Kindness of Strangers by Katrina Kittle
I put The Colour of Heaven - James Runcie on hold for a bit as I am gettin a copy for myself. So I decided to read The Calling - Inger Ash Wolfe for ML instead (a good gripping and thrilling book).
Mari,
I read that book in one day, almost one sitting. You are right, such an interesting way to pull the reader in...

Suzanne, I loved Snow in August. Pete Hamill's books just grab your imagination and won't let go. We read North River for a book club and (a first) everyone loved the book. Never had that experience with this group before. Hope you enjoy the rest.
