GRRRRRRRrr, no idea what I should do. Might see what I feel 2morrow.

i loved The Lovely Bones, but hated, HATED, the Almost Moon.
one of the few books i've started but never finished, it was that bad...

What kind of person would seriously write a book about killing her mother?
I had a real hard time with it....
I also read The Lovely Bones...Didn't like that one either.

Hope you enjoy your trip, Kellie. My husband would be so jealous, he's always wanted to see the launch. Are you driving, and if so, how long of a trip is that for you (from NC, right)?

We are going to stop in Savannah tonight and head to the Cape in the morning. It's about an 5 hour trip total. We are splitting it in half.
The launch is at 8PM. Can't wait to see a night launch.
It's going to light up the sky!!

My husband has a broadband hookup on his computer.
We just checked into the hotel.
Phew I'm bushed.

I'm reading several things....
I am getting kinda bored with them though. That's why I went to the Library! I am starting a Sookie Stackhouse book. :)

Next I think I'll be reading The Crazy School another fall challenge book...I enjoyed Field of Darkness more than I expected so I'm excited to read this follow up.

I'm reading a chapter of The Historian every time I take a break from my annotated bibliography though!

Now Fi, u must tell me when u need me to confuse these girls lol xx

Kelli, how great that you have your laptop with you. It feels like a live update we get from you!

It's sunny and 76 here. We are almost there.
Just went over a bridge where I can see Kennedy Space center.

The reason I ever bought The lovely bones: I liked the cover.

A perfect Thanksgiving and Christmas story is Truman Capote's classic,"A Christmas Memory." A feel good ,yet ultimately sad story,it is miles ahead of the typical holiday feel good story.
If you are lucky enough to find an old video starring Geraldine Page as cousin Sook, the main character, you will be seeing a truly moving film. When you add in the fact that Truman does the voiceover in that wonderful falsetto, you will appreciate how perfectly it is written
When I was teaching senior high, I showed that version to all my kids. Both the highest and lowest in ability.I soon learned to leave the lights off for a few minutes so as not to embarass my students. Most had tears in their eyes.
Happy Holidays to all my friends( and enemies.)

Not sure what's next up - it might be Peony in Love by Lisa See.

I just love teachers.

What a nice comment. I'll keep my eye out for that one.
Susanna
I loved Tears of the Giraffe.
The Precious series is such fun!

wrote a review, and like i said there, i'm not sure how highly i'd recommend this one. i enjoyed the middle part of the book (from pages 150 to about 400) but it took a little bit to get moving, and i really felt like the ending left a lot to be desired.
gong to try and find Loving Frank tomorrow for my library book group on Monday (running a bit late with that), but not sure what i'll move on to after that.
Seth, a thanksgiving 'co-incidental bookery" it is!! Let me know as we get closer if you are still on target for it. I am looking foward to reading Of Human Bondage. I havent read anything by Sommerset yet.

Well, Laura, I will be sure to tell you all about it when I start. I havent a clue really. But Im looking foward to reading it!
