It is so difficult to sort through all the different groups on Goodreads. I don't know what I'm looking for in a book group. I joined one, with one or two active members, but it's not as social as I would like it to be. I like the idea of challenges, but I don't like to be held to a time limit. I don't like to have more than 3 books going on simultaneously, otherwise I get overwhelmed. Reading is supposed to be fun and having a list of "supposed to do's" discourages me.
This group looks like you can choose what you want. You can do assigned reading or independent challenges. This is very appealing to me. I hope I find what I'm looking for here.
hi Jenniyou join the challenges you want and you're right its supposed to be fun. so just peek at the challenges there are some good ones and I'm sure you'll find one that works for you.

Hey all. I'm a reading challenge addict. Name's Jessica, though I go by Jessie most often. I'm a 20-something teacher in training who lives in good ole Virginia with my boyfriend (further referred to as DBF) of two years and bulldog (Thor) who is almost 8 months old. I often read a lot of Young Adult fiction but I dabble across the genres usually. I'm also a cross-stitcher and have a hard time finding time for both crafting and reading. ; )
