I think addicted is such a negative word. I like dedicated with the fervor of the truly passionate. (OK, others say zealot but I poo-poo them.) ;PI work at the library! Reading is not bad dang-it!
Its a good addiction Penny and Dana I could never work a the library or a bookstore. Its hard enough to in a craft store.

Oh, love it!

Oh, Lizz, I think a craft store might be worse! I would spend my entire paycheck before I left work! Book store would be almost as tempting. But the library at least the books are free!
This time of year is horrid for me when it comes to craft stores. I'm so weak! Getting ready for the holidays just gives me all these excuses to MAKE stuff! I've already got 5 sewing projects, 2 knitting projects, and one tatting project on my list. That is in addition to my 'house fun' projects that I am already doing. I'm staining and recovering my dining room chairs so they look pretty by Turkey Day. The big one though is all the new window coverings that I am making for my living room. 12 sheers, 12 drapery panels, 4 cornice boards, and 15 roman shades...GAH! I'm a nut. But I can't stop going to the craft store and buying fabric and cardstock and yarn and....What were we saying about addiction earlier? hhhhmmm...
Who needs sleep?!? (Says Dana with a glazed, wild-eyed look.) ;DThese are on my list...unfortunately it doesn't mean I will get them all done. *sigh* I have to get the dining room done but at some point my logical side will take over and make me trim back on my 'crafting'.
Until then though...insomnia rules!!!! C=
lol Dana I too have tons of home projects to do and none started. I have to finish up some scrapbooks for my family and me. Then start making Christmas cards (its almost too late to make them might have to buy them :( )
I was just contemplating that same issue myself. You don't have a couple of spare days lying around somewhere that you could loan me, do you Lizz? :)
I wish Dana lol. I'm going to be out of town in 2 weeks from today and I don't know how i'm going to get reading and my crafts down
I will i'm going to Galveston TX and its about 4-5 hours aways so I will get some reading done on the drive down there
Hey - Galveston TX is about 5 hours from where I live too! LOLOL Guess we would be coming from different directions though.
Tally - I suggest start small. Pick 1 monthly challenge, 1 quarterly challenge, and 1 yearly challenge. Pick challenges that look interesting to you. Try not to overload yourself from the beginning....it's easy to do! There are so many great challenges on GR.
Hello, my name is Diane and I am a challenge addict....Hi, just found this group and can't resist more challenges even though my reading time has been getting smaller and smaller.
Well, no one new is introducing themselves, but it seems each time I log in out lil' groups numbers have jumped up one more.I smile each time I see it. So welcome all you new lurkers!
I joined this group last month, but I haven't introduced myself. I have developed an obsession with challenges lately as I have a large TBR list and a nookcolor and an android tablet with the kindle app. In other words, way too many books! I love all the challenges offered.
Welcome Leslie. I in no way meant to force the lurkers out in the open, I was just excited our little group was growing!
Hi! I'm one of the lurkers :-) I've been checking out some of your great challenges, it's hard to decide which one to do first. You've got some great ideas here!
Hi. I'm southpaw. I love reading challenges, and you have some wonderful ones going on here. I love to read, crochet, and cross stitch. I hope to learn to knit next year.
Yay yay yay yay we are up to 120 members!!!!!Now if we can just convince the n newbies to check out the scavenger hunt, and join in on the fun.
Hi I am Katya and usually avoid challenges and have been leery of them. But lately I have been doing some and they are not going so bad.....so I continue to ...dip my toe into the water so-to-speak.
Welcome Katya! So glad you joined us. I love the challenges, it helps me find a starting point of what to read next in my huge TBR pile. This group has lots that are easy to do, a great place to dive in!
