Reasons why I think it's planned-
- Building 7 colappsed on it's own, I mean really? It's a Building....
-The last person to escape the twin towers said that about 5-8 minutes before the plane crashed there was an explosive underneth.
-Let's all face it. America's government is racist, not all, but ALOT. I think Bush is racist too, They wanted oil from Iraq, they didn't get it, why not blame them? I doubt that this happened but it could be true... If you guys are thinking that Obama isn't doing anything your wrong because the rest of the governmnet just denies it.... Anyway!
-Let's think, A couple of terrorists go to a plane with explosives without geting caught..... Either that's just a myth or the sucurity there are blind, just saying! Moving on.... They get in the plane, kill anyone who's in there way, kill the piolets, drive the plane, and crash it to a building and it colapses from an explostion.... Yet it all happens when the tip of the plane barly touched the building when the engines(that cause the explosions) are either in the back of the plane or are in the wings...
(Now This is JUST my reason why I think it's planned, I do belive that it might be real too and I will post that. I did not mean to offend anyone at all when I wrote this....)

Why I think it's real-
- Iraq was attacked first, they wanted revenge, stupid of them to blame it all on the citizens when it was the government's fault.
-The video's seem pretty real, hard to fake it when it doesn't look like it's from a movie.
- There government might be very powerful and clever but no one really payed attention.
- Osama Binladin(However you spell his name!) might have brainwashed the country just like how hitler did with Germany....
I think that's all I have... I actually had more reasons but I have writers block =(
Anyway... Either way it is, I think that one government was just acting smarter than the other!

The thing about Osama Bin Laden and Al Quaeda is that they're not in charge of a whole country, not even in the sense that the Taliban used to be in charge of Afghanistan. They're a fairly small group, not a government. It's not a matter of one government being smarter than another, persay, but a matter of independent people being very sly. Also, you have to remember that a lot of the rigorous airport security we have in the U.S. now is a result/reaction to 9/11 and subsequent threats or bombing attempts. It was much easier to get explosives past security then.

And Gabriel, they did board the plane at an airport, if that's what you meant. Hijacking is defined as someone already being onboard taking control of the vehicle.

As for the fact that the collapse started when the tip of the plane touched the building, airplanes usually travel at several hundred miles per hour and the outer layer of the WTC was in large part glass. Of course an airplane crashing headlong into it was going to take it down immediately- especially that high up, where the supports wouldn't be able to handle as much strain.

Hanna, actually, yes I do. I (about a white as you can get and with a German last name) got pulled out by 'random checking' when I was eight. I realize that it's usually racist in nature, but there is some randomness to it. And you have to remember that it wasn't like that before the attacks. Racial profiling is a visceral, judgemental reaction to the tragedy.

Gabriel: No, the majority of terrorists aren't Muslim. Ever heard of the Oklahoma City Bombing? That guy was American and he still perpetrated a crime against his country. I'd also argue, by the way, that the KKK are terrorists and everyone knows they're the furthest thing from Muslim.

Really, this country's reaction to Muslims in the wake of 9/11 is a lot like our reaction to the Japanese after Pearl Harbor. We were at war with both Germany and Japan, remember, but only the Japanese had their property taken away and got put in internment camps. Sad but true: most Americans are afraid of people who don't fit the white, Protestant, middle class, profitable mold.

I'm coming into this discussion in the middle so just ignore me if I'm off topic, but if you are referring to the demise of the twin towers, it was the intense heat that ultimately brought them down, the heat melted the steel beams that were the main supports of the buildings.
It had nothing to do with whatever happened or didn't happen on the lower levels.

A lot of people seem to have gotten the idea that terrorism has to be something big exploding, but that's not true. Look at the root word. Terror. Terrorism is using terror for your own ends. Things exploding are terrifying; so is the idea of a smallpox epidemic or the thought that someone might break into your house and kill you just to send a message.

Oh, and if we're talking reasons, there are more nuances to it. No matter how you feel about Islam, you have to recognize that it has its traditions and that the US hasn't been the most respectful of those. Take a look at the Israeli/Palestinian conflict sometime. I'm not saying that was the cause of 9/11, but it sure hasn't made that part of the world too happy with us.
