Hi James, I just added your blog to my list to follow.
Mine is up there in the list somewhere but I'll re-post: http://callsignwreckingcrew.blogspot.com
My battery power is running down but I promise to look at your blog closer and maybe post on mine if that's okay with you.
Lynn
Lynn.. thanks for checking it out. I hope you enjoy. I will grab a look at your blog too! Gave you some love on Google + Love the bckground, btw.
Hi James, I finally got a chance to look closer, I like what you have to say on there. I'm wobbling on the side of going to get a twitter account. Plus we are trying to get our book ready for Smashwords...so I guess that would be a good time to update all of the e-books. Maybe by then I'll have a twitter account and can put that information on there. So much to think about and do...the hurrier I go the behinder I get...or something like that.
Thanks for the love and the support.

Lynn
Lynn,Thanks so much! I realized that many people are new to social media stuff so I am just trying to think of some things that might help people, since I've worked in that area. I wouldn't stress it too much, as long as what's working for you is working. right?! :) I'm learning a ton so far and am just getting my feet wet in terms of meeting people and learning about the indie community. so many nice people!
btw, weird! no it isn't moved.. i don't think :) you should find it at:

I've seen a bit about this 'independent authors..' website you mentioned in your post but I don't understand the site itself. It seems a little complicated in terms of navigating- any insights you can give?
James wrote: "Lynn,Thanks so much! I realized that many people are new to social media stuff so I am just trying to think of some things that might help people, since I've worked in that area. I wouldn't stres..."
Hi James,
Yes, new to Facebook...haven't done twitter. Done alot of different communications through computer though. As for your site. It seems to be having problems through the blogger dashboard but if I click on it here I don't. Maybe because it is so new. I'll check again tomorrow.
The independent author and writers website is a little different. It is Word Press based if that helps any. First register then you get assigned a dashboard. I know once your dashboard is available you'll automatically see your post. If you look just above that there are some words...the one I look for is all. That brings up all the threads. Then it looks like a blog that has comments underneath. That's the best way I can think to explain it. Mostly it has been trial and error. The guy that designed can be reached through the contact...button.
Hope that helps. I'm on different boards and stuff just trying to do what I can to promote and help others.
Lynn

Hi Martha, I saw that you posted on Independent Authors and Writers today. Welcome to both here and there. (Wait is that Dr. Seuss I hear?) I love your cover art and premise for the book.Lynn
Hi Lynn,Yes, Independent Authors and Writers is terrific!
Glad you like the cover art. As you probably read, my oldest son is the illustrator. We had a great time putting the book together and hope the kiddies (and moms and dads) will enjoy it.
I posted about my blog a while ago, but I have updated my format a bit since then. Monday is Free Book Monday where I will either have a giveaway or will be highlighting a good book that can be downloaded for free. Tues and Thurs I publish reviews that I have written (all reviews also go on Amazon, Amazon UK, Amazon CA, Goodreads, and Shelfari) and Saturdays I do guest posts or interviews. If anyone would like a review or to do a guest spot please let me know you can sign up here. Thanks for stopping by!

Hi everyone! I'm totally new to all this stuff and have been feeling my way around, looking to see what everyone else has done, and stealing your good ideas! I haven't had the time to make a blog yet, but intend to soon. I do have a small website at:jcallenbooks.weebly.com
And I did venture into making a book trailer:

Hi Malla! Thanks for the reply. Will also start one on Goodreads soon - editing is a priority, first! Thank you for the luck, best of luck to you, too :)
mountainmama wrote: "I'm just following you Lynn. If you didn't hold my hand I never would have found my way!"You're welcome. I started a couple of threads last night. My intention is to help the indie authors find a place to put their books for sale and hopefully viewed by reader/buyers. Might be helpful for some of our fellow indie authors here.

That's so great that you're a reader. What do you like to read?
I love Harry Potter and The Series of Unfortunate events. I like reading lots of selfpublished authors too, I never thought I would until I self published :)
Those are great books, Spencer. I liked them too. I edit books for my son (he's a little older than you - 42), and he's coming out with a series about a bunch of girls who find a time travel machine. I'll let you know when it's published and send you a copy.
Cool! I love to read, I'll even post a review on my blog :)That is very exciting, what else is there to the story? The plot etc.
That is very exciting, what else is there to the story? The plot etc."The girls actually find a cube that is a map to the time machine. When they find the machine in a cave, they realize they have to travel back in time to retrieve parts (jewels) to the machine that will allow them to travel to a certain date to stop the destruction of the earth in the future. So most of the story is about their adventures in different eras where they're seeking the "jewels".
