Y'know how Denna believed the written word could have magical consequences? What if the layout and structuring of the archives has magical consequence, which would explain the previous wars between the librarians.
Actually, just to be clear on the history, there were different factions of librarians, and they had disagreements as to which was the best way to organize information. Rather than coming up with one, set way, each team did things their own way, and actively tried to interfere with the other factions. So they hid a way books so the other faction couldn't get to them, etc.Seems pretty juvenile to me, too juvenile, in fact. I assume there was something more behind the conflict.
But I agree that there's no consequence to it, no matter what the old librarians believed. I don't know why this topic was so compelling to me at the time.

1) The stone door that Kvothe comes across his first time he gets there.
2) The layout and history of the archive's filing system, as revealed by Fela--I don't think this spoils any plots.
3) the weird layout of the University, and how that could relate to the archives.

and what I think we should refrain from mentioning.

1) the secret entrance into the archives, and the existence of the underthing
2) Puppet...Though it's not really a spoiler to discuss him, is it?
