Sean Kennedy (seankennedy) | 20 comments Hello everyone

Just sticking my head up out of the wilderness to say I'm here if anybody has any questions.

kel | 17 comments Hi Sean,

Do you and Catt have an ETA for the next Dash and Dingo book? I loved the first and look forward to the next!

message 3: by Sean (new)

Sean Kennedy (seankennedy) | 20 comments It's something we're definitely working on - I'd dearly love to have a draft finished at some point this year. The ideas for the second and third are all mapped out, we just need to find the time to fit in with each other.

Sean Kennedy (seankennedy) | 20 comments Mariana, I'll never say never - because you never know what may happen! But at this point of time I can say that there isn't one.

Chris (egret17) Nice digs, Sean!

message 18: by grumpybybirth (new)

grumpybybirth | 4 comments just wanted to say that I just finished reading Tigers and Devils, my first foray into your books. You have definitley been put on my radar for books now though. I fell in love with that book and the way you wrote the charachters.

Kris | 4 comments Mariana wrote: "Hello. Do you have any plans on any more books for Simon and Declan?"

Mariana, have you read the short that Sean wrote which revisited Simon and Declan? It can be found here: http://seankennedybooks.com/wordpress...

message 20: by Mariana (new)

Mariana (mearias) | 2 comments Hey Kris! I did read that... I just love those characters so much, I want more :)

message 21: by Carolinareader (new)

Carolinareader | 14 comments A while back I think I remember reading that you were working on a road trip book. Since I always love a book that revolves around a road trip I was wondering if that was something you were still working on?

message 22: by Sylvia (new)

Sylvia | 25 comments Hi Sean,
I'm very happy that Petit Morts will come out next month, it's very high on my to read list. Do you have other WIP's at the moment?[image error]

message 23: by Tam (new)

Tam (cdn_tam) I shall be polite, unlike some posters, and ask when you are going to have something published that starts with Q or X. It would greatly help my alphabet reading challenge. KZ Snow has kindly offered me V. Work on that will ya?

And have a lovely weekend. *kisses*

message 24: by Sean (new)

Sean Kennedy (seankennedy) | 20 comments Thanks, Chris!

And Sheri, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it so much - hope the other books are as enjoyable to you.

It's definitely still in the pipeline - I got about 20 000 words into it but was distracted by another story. I definitely like the way it's taking shape though, and will return to it when the other one gets out of my system ;)

Too many, Sylvia! They're all around the same level of incompletion at the moment so it may be a while before anything comes out. I'd say the road trip book is the closest to being finished first, but you never know what may happen in the meantime.

I will have two Petit Morts stories in the final collection, though!

Er, sure? "Quit Annoying Me" or something like that? ;)

You definitely should ASAP. It's in my top 5. I picked it up because I loved watching Australian Rules football. (That's what we call it here anyway) It was a great book!

Actually i just finished reading it ths morning (at 4:30 in the morning... the day of an exam :| haha) I seriously LOVED IT! Couldn't put it down! (even though i'm not big on AFL - or sport in general haha)

If your other work is as good as this, you'll definately be one of my favourite authors!

P.S i loved the fact that you named actual places - some of them i've been to (In Tassie) and i could actually picture Dec and Simon there :)

Great work! :D

message 33: by Sue (new)

Sue | 4 comments Hi - Just finished Tigers and Devils and just wanted to let you know how much I really enjoyed it. I haven't laughed that much while reading a book in a very long time. I was just giggling at so many of the scenes.

I haven't read many books that take place outside of the US, but when I do I enjoy learning a little bit about another culture. Google and I are friends. I had to look up Mr. Squiggle, but from context I could figure out it was probably gross. :)

I first read your story in the Curious Anthology and then sought out more of your work. I look forward to reading what is out already and what will be published - hopefully soon!

I actually haven't been to Tassie, although I really do want to go. I've always had a fascination with it, and funnily enough it snuck its way into two of my books. I'll get there one day!

Thanks so much, Sue!

Books are meant to be lived vicariously through. I love reading books set in other countries so I experience somewhere totally different to my own. And Wikipedia and Google are fantastic to allow you to look up places or references that might normally slip you by.

Re: Mr Squiggle - probably disturbing more than anything else ;)

I will have two novellas coming out soon in the Petit Morts series, and have just finished the first draft of a new novel... so hopefully soon!

message 36: by Sue (new)

Sue | 4 comments Disturbing is a much better word! thanks for the reply :)

message 38: by Patrick (new)

Patrick | 1 comments Finished reading "Tigers and Devils" three days ago... and have just read it again :-). Being a South African, living in Joburg, really get the sport thing, so could identify with the story 100%. Probably the most real and heartwarming M/M story I have ever read, and pretty inspirational. Handing it to a friend with "relationship problems" at the moment. Told him about "Tigers.." and he texted me late last night that he "needs it". Please, Sean more of this sort of book with real blokes. You fill a huge gap which is crying out for someone who can tell an engaging story that goes way beyond the usual "slightly tired repetitive sex scenes with a weak story" that is normally dished out as M/M romance. Would love to hear more of Simon and Declan, but if not, more of that kind of story would be great.
Thanks for actually putting your wonderful stories on paper. Just bought Dash and Dingo on Amazon and will be watching closely for anything further from you. And, oh yeah will spread the word about you amongst theguys in Johannesburg :-) Thanks Patrick

Thanks so much, Patrick. I am constantly amazed at all the corners of the world that readers come from, especially as seeing when I wrote TaD I thought it would only be Aussies that would embrace it.

Thank you also for trying Dash and Dingo. It's based on the old gay pulps, so there is more sex... but the next book I've just finished is more like TaD. So stay tuned!

message 40: by Sean (new)

Sean Kennedy (seankennedy) | 20 comments Not exactly Dreamspinner related (although involving fellow DSP author Clare London), have two novellas coming out as part of the final stories of the Petit Morts series, along with Jordan Castillo Price and Josh Lanyon. Look for them late October!

message 43: by Brendan (BJ) (new)

Brendan (BJ) (heresjohnny) | 10 comments Lol Sean, since I posted here last, I read tigers and devils... again, and it's actually helped my social life... I know at least a little bit about AFL now (i know that the MCG is in Melbourne) hahahahaha... PLUS i was almost tempted to watch the Bronlows the other night... almost... haha

message 44: by Sean (new)

Sean Kennedy (seankennedy) | 20 comments Even I can't watch the Brownlows... too boring! Although I was amused to see on the news the 'lazy susan' they loaded everyone up on to interview them. How bloody batty it was!

Sean Kennedy (seankennedy) | 20 comments The 2nd edition of Tigers and Devils is now out! This means that Tigerland isn't that far away now.

Here is a letter from Simon about the re-release: http://kennsea.livejournal.com/22775....

Gwendolyn | 3 comments Ohhhhh you had me going with the "have a child to support" bit.

I had resigned myself to never having a sequel because of all the denials in this forum. lol Should have known. As long as no one is a cheater I know I'm going to be happy.
