Roger Cave | 4 comments Hi all

Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm from the North West of England and I'm an indie writer.

The reviews seem to suggest the books are Bondian in style, which is probably true, but the hero is the opposite of Bond.

Anyhow, here to have a look around and to get to know a few people.

It's getting a bit late now, so I'll probably be back tomorrow.

Adam Ingle (deadregime) | 2 comments Hi all. I'm Adam and I write in a wide variety of genres and I've just published my first novel, a contemporary fantasy called Necessary Evil and the Greater Good. I've been writing since I was a kid; starting with my own comic books and moving on to short stories. Although this is my first book, I have a couple finished manuscripts that I've put on the shelves and a couple partially finished ones laying around somewhere as well. I tell people I write to exorcise my creative demons. It keeps me sane. If you'd like to check out my book, ask me questions, or just say hey then feel free to message me.

-Adam

DB Nielsen | 4 comments Hello to all of you believers in beauty and true love and mystical talismans, angels and ancient artefacts. I’m so excited to share the KEEPERS OF GENESIS series with you, following Sage and Saffron’s parallel journeys to find the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Garden of Eden and, of course, to attain true love along the way (but not without the trials and tribulations that all such journeys bring!).

Please visit my web page and view reviews through Amazon or Goodreads. Just search for D B Nielsen :-)

Thanks.

message 1348: by Delvin (new)

Delvin | 8 comments Hi everyone

My name is Delvin Kloud. I'm 23 years old, and I was a student in the Ohio State University. (Delvin Kloud is what I identify myself with. I'm not really comfortable using my real name, for personal reasons. Just trying to be honest.)
I'm an indie author and I've just finished my debut Sci-Fi&Fantasy novel and launched it on Amazon KDP less than one month ago.
I'm pretty sure my book is right now sitting at the bottom of the ocean... and if I don't do anything, it will never surface. Ever.

I read two posts about discoverability yesterday, and I think it's really good, so I'll share here:
http://bestsellerlabs.com/how-to-get-...
http://www.goodreads.com/blog/show/39...

That's what led me to Goodreads. The link to my book is here:
http://www.amazon.com/Desperia-Zero-D...

I don't know if I should ask here, but I'm planning to give away this for free, mostly because I've enrolled in Kindle Select and I charge my book really cheap and money is not my first goal.
The free giveaways will be in way better format than the kindle version.

I'll post this in a different thread and ask some questions about it. Not here.

Thank you

"I write because it makes me proud."

message 1349: by Xavier (new)

Xavier Edwards (xavieredwards) | 176 comments Hey there, Delvin

message 1350: by Kaye (new)

Kaye George | 33 comments A couple of things, Delvin--but first, welcome!

You say you've enrolled that book in Kindle Select, then you mention giving away another version. That will knock you out of Kindle Select, as you're allowed to be there and only there.

But why is your format for Kindle not good? Maybe you should work on that.

Goodreads giveaways are an excellent way to raise visibility, in my experience. I've done them with paperbacks, not with e-books, just FYI.

Good luck getting your name out there!
