Amanda Turner (amandaturner06) | 2 comments Hi everyone
I published my first novel The Witchlings-Midnight curse 4 weeks ago ( the single most nerve wracking time of my life). I have just finished the first copy of book 2 in the series and was wondering is it important to refresh peoples memory and make references of what happened in book 1. book 2 is a direct follow on and i dont want to bore people with facts they have already read.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Amanda x

Michael Brookes (technohippy) I'm writing my first sequel at the moment and I'm including just enough so that the reader isn't confused, but also not so much they don't feel they should read the first book (if they haven't).

It's a tricky balance :-)

Lucinda Elliot (lucindaelliot) | 80 comments Hello, Everyone, good luck to all. I'm Lucinda Elliot, my new ebook (which is best described as a Cod Gothic Historical Paranormal Comedy Romance' (cross genre, or what? The agents didn't like that) 'That Scoundrel Emile Dubois' is out on Amazon, etc.
Being an Indie Author is certainly hard work, and I hate IT and sales. Setting up a website, blog, getting reviews...Still trying to get time to write. I've been doing exchange reviews, etc (reading some excellent books, one seems to me a potential classic even).
I've got a query about Createspace, I'll make it a new topic.

Cindy Lyle (cindylyle) Hi everyone! My name is Cindy Lyle and I'm new to this group. My first novel The Dragon Within was released in June and it has been a wild ride! I had no idea when I first started this journey that there were so many indie authors out there. I'm enjoying this experience and I hope I get to chat with some of you.

message 761: by Rowena (new)

Rowena Portch (rowena_portch) | 1 comments Hi Everyone. I'm the author of the Spirian Saga (5 books so far). Book 6 of this saga will be released in November. The series originally started as an autobiography called, "This is Not the Life I Ordered!" After some enlightening feedback from my family, I decided to turn it into a romantic fantasy. According to my husband, my life is mostly fantasy. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Anyway, Spirians are Angels who live among humans. They are gifted, strong, and can have fiery tempers. These are non-graphical romance with no foul language so they are appropriate for a general audience.

Like myself, the main character is blind, middle-aged, and has a bit of a gypsy soul (barefoot and carefree). I welcome you all into my realm where anything is possible. http://Rowena-Portch.com

Darlene Jones (darlene_jones) | 38 comments Hi,

I've just released my third book, EMBRACED.
Against all logic, Abby believes the clickings in the fillings of her teeth are messages from aliens. She's right.
One reader says, "Jones just keeps getting better and better." What a great compliment.

Xavier Edwards (xavieredwards) | 176 comments Hello all,

I'm Xavier Edwards, an Erotica and Erotic Romance author from the wide brown land down under. I've been writing for myself or many years and finally took the plunge into being published in April 2012.

An avid reader, my library covers most genres and is constantly being overhauled to make room for the new books I am reading. To this end, the introduction of ebooks has been a lifesaver.

I've spent my entire life being surrounded by women and have gained a wonderful appreciation for some of the things that make the female libido tick (and many of the things that don't).

At the moment I am happy exploring the different types of erotica subgenres and will probably end up writing works that fit into most of them at some point in time.

I'm looking forward to seeing what participation in this group will do for my writing and what I can do for the group.

Hello, everyone, I'm Alexandra. I write in a variety of genres, though Science-Fiction, Fantasy, and (old-fashioned) Horror are my favorites. I've been publishing for about a year now, and am really loving being an author. It's great to have found a group of other Indie authors and supporters.

I had two books: "Served Cold: Tales of Revenge and Redemption" and "Anything For Georgetown And Other Stories". Both are available in print on Lulu.com. "Anything" is erotic fiction, published under my pen name of Janell Elizabeth Meyer. Check and see if your local library would be willing to host an author day.
