I'm not in band, but I just started playing alto sax a few months ago and am going to try to get into band next year.
Clarinet. Piano a little. I'm the clarinet section leader and I taught myself how to play the piano.
That's cool, my dad played clarinet when he was in grade school. Other than sax, I play piano and violin.
Not yet. There's this orchestra in my town I'm going to try out for next month. I've been playing for less than a year, though, so hopefully I'll make it in.

Band is the best!!! I play flute, piano, vibes, tenor sax, violin, piccolo, I want to play the bagpipes.
That's awesome!!!!!!! I really want to try the flute, but I have yet to convince my mom...... I know a kid who plays bagpipes, you really don't meet too many bagpipe players......
The same with accordion and ukelele....
lol. In the fourth of July parade there is always a group of bagpipes that plays and it is the only reason I ever go.

Hey percussion people, can someone tell me what te difference between a flam and a flammadiddle???? I have no clue, an I'm in band, but I play the clarinet, as the name implies...just curious...

I feel so left out...we don't have band here either. When I think about it, we don't have anything here really...
I have been playing the flute for three years and I just got a piccolo three months ago but they are almost the same so no big deal!
