Why not use the French pronunciation of Fountain, pronounced Fontayne and the Italian Lucia - Thereby becoming Lucia Fontayne

of course. i will have to look at them a second time...but this crazy online anagram site made me stick to the word "Infra" which i think is really cool. Especially the letters that make up ink. yours however are much practical.

Laszlo wrote: "An anagram site? Can you post the link, please?"Your brain is in itself an anagram machine and it is a good tool to use to train with instead of wasting time with stuff that may corrupt your hard drive - go to Lumiosity and train your brain instead! Mostly these sites are geared up to make other words from words not proper names, so there is no easy way but the old fashioned pen and paper!
I think I need help on my name. I can create awsome names for my characters, but other than that, I'm stumped on a name for myself!
we all have the same issue. just find a name that really sticks. maybe a nickname. maybe an anagram. I like the name Infra for me. It sounds german almost. my first name in real life is also a german name (i am african though)
If I ever was publish (hopefully) I have no clue. It would be Holly J. Brock , completely random. I just picked it now.
My author name would be Selina Locke. This is not my real name but I like the way this one sounds and looks.

My real name is Shlomo Reuben. However, I wonder what to use for different genres of novels I write.1. Should I use my real name for genres I love to write?
2. Should I use a pen name for genres I would start experimenting on?
I like fantasy and sci-fi genre-based novels to write.
But I would like to experiment on other genres as well, such as thriller, mystery, erotica, political, drama, romance, etc.
Open to all possible choices given. :)
It really depends on what kind of books you want to be known for. If you want to be an author that is known to write many genres, only have one name. But if you only want one name to be known for one kind of genre, then create some other author names for the other types of genres you want to experiment in. Hope this helps!
I'm only fifteen years old, but one of my novels has already been published, and I struggled to decide what I wanted my author name to be for while. Finally, I just went ahead and used my real name--Jessica Lyn Cozzi :)

Britt wrote: "Jessica wrote: "Aw haha I like your full name Britt!"Hmmm maybe it would be Brittany "Candy" Ann McKittrick"
Or Candy McKittrick?

I like it too, and it is distinctive enough that you shouldn't find a dozen others when looking for it on the Internet.

Yeah
My name is pretty distinct too hahaha, I don't think I've ever met anybody with their middle name spelled the same way mine is. I've met girls who spell their middle name Lynn or Lynne, even Lin, but never "Lyn."
Cool Jess,
If there comes a day in age where goofy or unique names are not instantly heckled (excusing the pseudonym for Dr.Seuss) then I would want my author name to be a pseudonym of my real name:
Grindi Clank Knife

My pen name will be (and is on NaNoWriMo) Susan Leigh, which according to someone on another site I frequent, sounds like a romance novelist. I'm perturbed but oh well.
I use my original name. Harsh. It means 'Happiness' in Hindi and 'Cruel' in English.
Intresting...Isn't it? ;)

Okay :)
I found my writing taking two very different paths and realized that someone who read and liked one type could be disappointed, even feel betrayed, if they picked a story that wasn't in the same vein.So I chose names that are related, but different: R. Liralen goes on the more mystical, heady fantasy; R. Rommalb goes on the trans-genre stuff.

However, it is because she writes both young adult and adult books.
Lenn McKinney. That's my middle name and my married name. I sign my artwork with my middle name too. I love my middle name. When I was in high school I had a completely fabricated pen name: Selphie Dionysus... The word selfie wasn't a real word back then...
i used a variant of my name when i first published back in the past when i was worried about my uber conservative family finding my work (kinbari meriueza) but i found out they don't care and don't even read books unless it's christian + subgenre (christian romance, christian horror, etc etc). so i just used my initials now. my name is already super long >_< if it weren't for the problematic tax paperwork, i'd prolly stick with it.
I have an abundance of author names for myself but I narrowed it to a few choices
*Reina Vamdig
*Reina Mavidg
*Inkeri Martine
*Inkerina Martine
Help?

Of course, I try to enunciate the 'e' so it sounds a bit different as well.
I've decided that I want to come up with a completely different pen name for myself. I came up with "TK Selbach" when I was pretty little, and it's a bit lazy. The only reason I wanted to use my initials was because my middle name starts with K, just like JK Rowling.I'm still trying to think of what I want to include in my pen name... all I have so far is "Roxanne", or at least some variation of it. (Maybe "Roxanna"?)
I like Ariel Alynn. it's my first and middle name since my last name has and will most likely change. what do you think?

Come on Ingrid, you can do better than that - remember those anagrams I sent you?
