Marsha Okay, I finally finished Atonement- one word title for 10 more points, bringing me to 95.

For the next challenge, I could have used Atonement for a 25 pointer- "Finish a book you think you should read but would rather not."

I started American Gods and I'm going to start Dracula too. I don't know that I can fit American Gods in anywhere, I'll have to look back over the list.

Since December is a big holiday month when most of us probably don't have a much time to read as we'd like to I thought I put it up to a vote (I'm making a poll so DON'T vote here) as to whether or not we should skip December or whatever - here are the options I've come up with.

1. We keep the status quo the new challenge will start Dec 1st and we keep the every three month new challenge i.e. (Dec-Feb, Mar-May, Jun-Aug, Sep-Nov)

2. We start in December but switch to a every 4 month challenge (Dec-Mar, Apr-Jul, Aug-Nov)

3. We skip December this year and start in January and keep 3 month challenges (Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Sep, Oct-Dec)

4. We skip December this year but switch to 4 month system (Jan-Apr, May-Aug, Sept-Dec)

5. We skip December every year stick with the 3 month system but the fall challenge will be two months (Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Sept, Oct-Nov)

5. We skip December every year but 4 month system - (Jan-Apr, May-Aug, Sep-Nov)

I'm abstaining from the vote...I'll leave it up to you guys. I'm posting the poll now and I'll leave it up till the end of October.

message 406: by Jamie (last edited Oct 19, 2008 03:34PM) (new)

Jamie READ A NOVEL WRITTEN IN THE 19TH CENTURY - Persuasion by Jane Austen (10 pts)

READ A BOOK WITH A ONE WORD TITLE - Austenland by Shannon Hale (10 pts)

This brings me to 100 points.

(I'm currently reading The Woman in White for #10 of the 15 point tasks and Playing for Pizza for #3 of the 10 point tasks.)

Forgot to mention that I'd set my goal at 200 points.
