Nope! Because Mt. Eskel's essentially being choked by all the restrictions. Life there is worse than in Miri's time (it's at least 10 generations after the book) since their taxes are higher than ever and it raises based on the quality and streak of the linder- and they pay more than what any or the lowlanders have to pay. So while the lowlanders may view the mountainers as committing treason, they're really just saving themselves the only way they see that would be effective.

Yay! Yayayayayayayay!!!!!! I finished it this morning! OMG it was great. But minor (view spoiler)[Jason and Percy haven't met yet and its SO frustating. Percy gains all his memories by the end of the book and Massive (view spoiler)[Jason and Reyna WERE a future couple, but Leo and one of the new girls, Hazel were a couple during WWII.
