Debbie Sue Overstreet sees the chance of a lifetime when the richest women in Salt Lick, Texas is murdered and there is a $50,000 reward for information regarding her murder. Debbie Sue figures it cant be that hard to solve the case so with her best friend in tow she starts digging it to the past of the victim. There is only one problem Sheriff Buddy Overstreet, Debbie Sue's ex-husband. This book is incredibly funny and entertaining to read.

I enjoyed this book, but it is so similar to both the Bubbles series by Strohmeyer and the Stephanie Plum series by Evanovich that I couldn't see it as very original or clever. Not much about this book stayed with me.

The best thing about this is that the book is light and fluffy read. I thought the characters were cute and many of the situations were funny.
But, it was annoying that each time Buddy and Debbie Sue had ANY contact, we had to read about them constantly obsessing over each other and how the other one didn't love them anymore. I could have done with that every time, but otherwise it was pretty cute read!
