Like most high school girls I read this book right after watching the movie. If you are in the mood for a good cry this is the book for you.

In the book I understood both main characters more. I haven't read many books in this section, but this is one I have re-read. The ups and downs of their friendship feels very real. Love this book.

I absolutely loved this book. The movie was a classic too, but I also enjoyed this book more. Fantastic story of friendship - this and Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe are classic girlfriend stories!

I too read the book right after the movie-loved them both. The book does give you a better understanding of the characters but then, they always do.
