Huh. Barb's shadow puppet looks like a limbless tree standing with two rocks on either side. She's quite talented, our Barb.
You can do what you want with your own mix, but you mail eight to Misha and you'll get eight back.
That's what I figured. I knew it was a stupid question, but wanted to make sure I was on the right 'track'. :)
Wow! You are so good Barb. :) I'm second guessing myself and have decided to hold off for the weekend.
I'm picking out the poems for mine. I need a way for y'all to see the poems to go along with which song though. Oh, I know! yay google docs!
Y'all should coordinate and send on the same day so we can see once and for all. My sister in Toronto got her invitation to my cousin's Bar Mitzvah yesterday; the Bar Mitzvah was in Chicago last weekend. My invitation arrived in February.
Oh, the sled dogs deliver janine's mail! I was confused, because everyone knows Canadian mail is delivered by snails.
Jammies wrote: "Oh, the sled dogs deliver janine's mail! I was confused, because everyone knows Canadian mail is delivered by snails."i would never beat dogs! my mail is delivered by planes and trucks and people.
Barb, if I read the posts correctly, you got your last set of shebangs within 13 days of them being mailed, yes?
Barb got her first one in 11 days. Today is the 13th. I don't know what the 5 represents. Janine got hers 4 days before Barb. But then 11 + 4 = 17 - 13 = 4. The number 4 in numerology represents organization. Ok, I give!
Help! Does iTunes not copy over the titles? I coped the playlist on my mac and then put it into my PC to make sure it works. It shows Track 1, Track 2, etc... but no names of the song playing. Before I start copying the 8 that will get mailed out, I would like to know if I'm missing something.
Shebangs are in the mail, and my time on TC is limited. There might be a few "WTF's" and "Boot the fresh meat".
Janice, unless it's an all-Bieber/Beiber track list, I think the tastes here are varied enough to support your shebang. :)
No, there is NO Beiber on it. I promise. *shiver*I almost included Leonard Nimoy singing a corny song, but I couldn't handle it myself.
There's also the option of including Leonard Nimoy cornily singing a non-corny song. I have his version of Walk the Line. Shudder.
Next shebang you guys have I am in in in in.
Misha wrote: "Was it the Bilbo Baggins one, Janice? The video for that is awesomely bad."There was a video? The song wasn't bad enough?
I would explain it to you, but then I'd have to kill you.
Gail «Cyborg» wrote: "I would explain it to you, but then I'd have to kill you."You could point me in the right direction... a mysterious clue, perhaps?
There is probably an explanation somewhere. I'll go investigate.
Are you able to help Mark out Misha? My brain is mush.
Misha wrote: "Mark -- A "shebang" is a mix CD exchange. I believe the term was coined by Sally, but I wasn't around for that."Thank you, Misha!

I've been permamently damaged by watching that video! *gag*
Barb wrote: "We can't vouche for their reliablity, but they look nice!"Yay! finally some accesories to mix and match with my penis hats!

i had to stop it somewhere around 25 seconds in. i was on the verge of stabbing my eardrums out with a pen. good god.
so, let me see if i understand the shebang. a certain number of members sign up for whatever is being exchanged and each member sends all the other members said item by mail? how many songs are usually included on a cd and are they all picked by the sender or does everyone suggest a song? and, finally, (yes, the end is in sight) is one member picked as the sender each time (or does everyone send something every time) and how is s/he picked? and how often? see, i'm just thinking it could get damned expensive if you're sending these dodads out on a regular basis.
