Nenangs | 464 comments i am in progress of creating some serieses (grouping actually) of lonely planet books, and one of them is city maps.
http://www.goodreads.com/series/59098...

but i found (when adding books to the series) that some of them have been marked as NOT A BOOK, but mostly not (yet?). some others city map by other publishers (frommers, periplus, etc) have had the same fate.

So which is it, books or not books? :)

please point me to the discussion if it is already discussed and a clear verdict had been declared. :)

TIA

Are these maps bound into a book format or fold-flat maps?

message 4: by Nenangs (new)

Nenangs | 464 comments i see, if it is a fold-flat maps, it is not a book.
hmm...possibly they're fold-flat maps, but i'm not too sure.

well, i will leave them to the more knowlegeable people, but i will also NOT delete the series (yet), just to make it easier to do the NOT A BOOK-ing job. :)

Lobstergirl Many NABbed maps are actually atlases, which should not have been nabbed. I've spent some time among Rand McNally and seen it. Whenever I catch one I un-NAB it. The NAB instructions used to be less explicit and I think most of the Rand McNally ones were nabbed back at that time.
