What was your first Stephen King book?

A w e s o m e read!"
I haven't read The Tommyknockers yet but have just ordered a copy online and can't wait for it to arrive so that I can get stuck into it!

Just make SURE you've got a couple days free - you will NOT be able to put it down!

But now I've got quite a collection of his work.
I've read The Green Mile about half a dozen times, Always makes me cry."
I first read The green Mile when it came out in 6 parts.... drove me mad waiting for each book cos i'd get one and finish it in a few hours then have to wait weeks for the next one!!!

LMAO yeah i guess reading about a rabid dog could put some people off dogs x

Shortly after that I stayed up late at night to read "Carrie" in one go. And I was hooked ever since :-)

Just started the Talisman, already I am sensing a DT feel to it with an appearance from the low men in the book. I'm enjoying it already. Thanks for the recommendation :¬)

Have fun reading it Mal, I'm sure you're going to love it. I read it before I read the DT series so I definitely need to re-read it. Would be great to do it as a group read.

I haven't read Needful Things yet, but it's the group read for January so I'm looking forward to reading it then.

My first Stephen King book was, The Green Mile. It was superb. I've read about 20 SK books since then and I do believe it still may be my favorite.

I've read it. It's very good. The movie was horrible.

could very well be the best book to ease your way into the world of Stephen King. It has just the right amount of supernatural stuff in it so as to not scare you from the books but to lure you in. I love that book

I liked it so much that from that point on, I would wait impatiently for his next books to come out.
