And I will now have that as a mental image any time I come across a similar device in any novel.....

Lmao! I'm gonna need you to message me the next time you run into that particular plot device ;)

Jason (darkfiction) | 3204 comments I'd like to see more military fantasy, like The Black Company and the Malazan books, but perhaps a bit easier to understand. LOL

Have you read Starship Troopers? It doesn't have as much action in it as more recent books but it's a great military sci-fi classic.

Armor is pretty damned good too.

Ok, that sounds totally good...def a Starship Troopers thing but itself at the same time... has to be on my TBR list...

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 5387 comments I just got it in the mail...of course that could mean it will take longer to get to. Library books keep getting moved ahead of the books I own.

Jason (darkfiction) | 3204 comments MrsJoseph, I haven't read that one yet. It is on my TBR mountain though. I've heard many great things about Starship Troopers.

I've never heard of Armor, though. Sounds really good! Thanks, Ala!

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 5387 comments I was speaking of Armor coming in the mail. Read Starship Troopers when I was younger, I like it.

TBR mountain - I'm totally stealing that, Jason. :)

Maxine | 25 comments Mostly I just want my favourite writers to finish their series so I can find out what happens-not just GRRM but David Anthony Durham's Acadia Trilogy. It drives me nuts wondering what's gonna happen next. Oh, and I want Steven Erikson to keep on writing those Malazan books.

Jason (darkfiction) | 3204 comments There is an ugly truth behind my term "tbr mountain"...LOL

Psst - just found this: SOS (Serious Overload of Series) database. Have fun.

message 117: by [deleted user] (new)

That's a lot of books...hmmm, this could prove interesting. Thanks Tracey :)
