I suspect this is past its expiration date. Found it at the bottom of a bin.

Feeling rough today. Dr. P fixed me one of my favorite things, braised lamb shanks. Probably should have eaten toast or rice.
Kale and edamame salad with slivered almonds, cranberries, scallions, and lemon/balsamic/soy/sesame oil vinaigrette.
It's been stressful enough, I have been pigging out as well. But these are desperate times. Hope you are feeling well, LG.

I can then respond with a poignant story about how that particular food once healed a rift between me and a college friend, and enjoin others to share similar tales.

I am feeling well. Thanks! I hope you are feeling well, and your husband is feeling well as well, and your kiddos.
The good news is that even though I have been pigging out, I am still walking 2 hours/day so that takes care of a bit of the extra calories.

Sure. My dinner portions are really pretty small, but a few hours later I am hungry again and then I open a bag of Veggie Straws and eat about 30 or 40. The first few veggie straws provide emotional relief but the last 30 leave me despairing about America's income and wealth gap, and also wondering if my dental hygienist will be wearing enough PPE as she hovers over me. Then I rip open a bag of trail mix with walnuts, pecans, and dried cranberries and begin stuffing handfuls into my gaping maw. Because I'm not even really hungry at this point, this gorging makes me feel guilty, yet I can't stop. Although, eventually, I do. Then I close that bag and open a different bag of trail mix which has almonds, cashews, and dark chocolate chunks. At this point I just feel troubled by all the winning....so much winning, I'm tired of winning. After 13 or so chocolate chunks, which I've downed while reading an article about the politics of maskwearing, and another article about blackface at a Halloween party, I have finally snacked enough.
Let the poignant stories begin.
