message 2607: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I have never heard of such a thing. You must be terribly thirsty.

message 2608: by [deleted user] (new)

No, it's lovely. Orville's "Narurals" line. Mmmmm.

message 2609: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I wasn't thinking it sounded bad just exotic and maybe thirst inducing.

I am beginning to think that if we lived near each other we might be great food crawl partners...

message 2610: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes! My BF is such a dud. She's NO fun when it comes to such things. She refuses to try anything new or anything that might be "different". Moroccan, Thai, Sushi...all off the list of possibles. Mexican, Pizza or home cookin', that's all I get to work with.

*sigh*

message 2611: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments ::double sigh::

What a waste. I would try just about anything...without meat. That would be your job on our crawl. :)

message 2612: by [deleted user] (new)

I was veggie for a year before I met the Mr. It was too hard cooking for two with one meat eater, so I gave in. It wasn't a huge moral conviction for me, I just don't like meat that much. The only thing I ever missed was bacon. Now if given the choice I mainly eat chicken.

Do you eat fish? Eggs? Obviously you and Dill eat dairy. ;)

message 2613: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Too funny!

No fish for me. Never was a fan. Though, when I was younger I could throw down on shrimp (loved scampi) and lobster from time to time.

I eat eggs, just not often. I also try to substitute when possible. I wouldn't mind phasing them out.

My husband was a meat eater. He has since become a vegetarian, also. Cooking was a pain before he turned veg.

A cherry cordial Hershey's kiss. These things are so good....I hate it that they're seasonal. Need to have in store every day.

I don't think so . It's been a long time since I've eaten marmite, but I remember I didn't like it .

He's at Yosemite, so perhaps he's watching a careless hiker get washed over a waterfall.

I understand. We had a couple of tourists who ventured too close to the blow hole at Kiama. Sucked right in.

Wow. That actually happened at Thunder Hole in Acadia National Park, too. I don't think it had ever happened before, and there was a rogue blow, or something, and several people got swept away or sucked in and drowned. Including a kid.

Obviously they intend people to go where the railings are, and I think the people swept away were within those railings. Park rangers had closed off the normal viewing platform shown here, and the people swept away were somewhere else.

"...before the wave struck, park rangers had been telling people not to get too close to the water but that many of the sightseers simply ignored the rangers’ advice."

There were many more tourists present to view the large waves being generated by Hurricane Bill.

An apple slice. It wasn't good. A client brought them in, so I was being polite. But, it was neither tart nor sweet...it didn't taste of much at all really, certainly not very appley. I snuck the rest in the kitchen trash, so she'd think I ate them when she came out of my boss's office.
