We call those "kraut burgers" and they are AWESOME with Tabasco!!

A doughnut, two fried eggs over toast and cup of coffee...with a very lovely aromatic pipe tobacco for dessert.

There are at least two varieties of persimmons that I'm aware of. The one I had, the smaller one (kaki), is not tart or sour. It's not overwhelmingly sweet either. It has a very subtle sweetness. It was very good.

Granny Smith apple. Now, that was overly tart. I sometimes forget I don't really like Granny Smith apples.
