Dr. Paschen is always telling his patients and their parents to pitch the cough syrup. It does nothing.

That's about what I got from it, yes. I did get some relief when I took my Alka-Seltzer Plus Cold. And I got some mental relief when my wife took a covid test & was negative.

Trader Joe's dried baby bananas. Trader Joe's comes up with some weird foods.

These aren't dry and crispy like banana chips. They're soft and moist like raisins.

Now I want TAMALES.

I am on my way to Des Moines for the funeral of a long-ago love. Wish me luck at not telling stories and making an ass of myself.

And good luck with that "not telling stories" thing. :)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Well, I re-told a story he liked to tell, over and over.

On a cold January night in 1980, he shot the FIJI house fire in Ames, Iowa and ended up landing a job at the Omaha World Herald the next day. The rest was history.

I self-edited better than I thought I was going to.

CD | 1577 comments Blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup.
(I've explained the sirup spelling previously. It's local. ).
There may be Walnut sirup later in the year. With buckwheat pancakes, that's living large.
