Heroine Interview from The Sheriff's Sweetheart by Laurie Kingery

1. Tell me the most interesting thing about you. I am the daughter of the mayor of a small Texas town called Simpson Creek.

2. What do you do for fun? I'm like to spend time with my friends, the other ladies of the Spinsters' Club. They keep me centered and "tell me the truth in love" when I need to hear it, such as the fact that I tended to be in love with love--until I met Sam, and even then, I wanted to proceed too quickly.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it? Admitting when I'm wrong

4. What are you afraid of most in life? Being an old maid.

5. What do you want out of life? To find the right man, settle down and have his children and live happily ever after.

6. What is the most important thing to you? Love. See #5.

7. Do you read books? If so, what is your favorite type of book? I'm not much of a reader. For that you want to talk to my friend Caroline Wallace, another Spinster who will have a book of her own called THE RANCHER'S COURTSHIP, which will be out in November. Now, there's a bookworm, but she's a teacher, so I suppose it comes naturally.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I know I'm way too impulsive, but that's just my nature. I don't know how to change it. I'm hoping that now I've found the right man, I will become known for my wisdom.

9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet? A perfect question, because the first thing Sam ever gave me--on the day we met!--was my little dog Houston. He's even on the cover of THE SHERIFF'S SWEETHEART, being one of the attendants at our wedding!

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why? I think I'd like to go back to the time of chivalry, in medieval England and France. Having a handsome troubador singing songs of love and swearing his undying affection for the mere touch of my hand sounds like fun.
