And then she got the fateful call from Mrs. Mabry. There was a problem with a house she'd just purchased, and she needed Mel's help. It was just standard ghost stuff; things moving around, and a few disembodied voices, but nothing Mel hadn't seen a thousand times before.
Little did she know who, or what, she would find when she stepped into the old Memphis mansion. Nothing about the ghosts in the home made any sense to her, and time was running out. Could Mel finish the job and get off the property before something in the house reaped her?
This story also has the mystery of missing people, and missing gold. I hope you love reading it as much as I loved writing it!

Hello, everyone!I'm Karen. Unlike most series that follow one character through various adventures, the Bibliophiles is a little different. Each member of my fictional Classics Book Club "stars" in his or her own novel.
For example, the first book,A Whisper to a Scream, features overwhelmed, stay-at-home mom, Sarah, and Annie, a P.R. executive dealing with fertility issues. When they meet through the book club, each thinks the other's life is so much better than her own. But ultimately they learn otherwise.
The second installment,Until My Soul Gets It Right, follows farm girl Catherine as she bounces from coast to coast in search of her true self.
A digital short,A Bibliophile Christmas, follows up on Sarah and Annie's stories from the first book as they try to mitigate the holidays.
