Recently released classics:

9 free books and collections by R. M. Ballantyne - mostly adventure novels and westerns. Note that of the 11 R. M. Ballantyne books, 2 have already increased to 99 cents. Look carefully before clicking the Buy Now button.

Penrod by Booth Tarkington

Orientalism: A Selection of Paintings and Writings by various authors and artists

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens - this is what happens when publishers of public-domain books don't really know anything about the book they are publishing. They slap a cover on it that seems to match the book title. Even though I already own another copy of this story, I downloaded this one because of the amusing cover. You could argue that the Ghost of Christmas Present was Santa-like, but I don't recall the sleigh and reindeer being in the Dickens plot.

More free books by Charles Dickens - some in Spanish or German. Titles available in English include:
* A Christmas Carol
* Christmas Stories
* A Tale of Two Cities
* Complete Novels (collection of 15 novels)
