Christina Stind | 59 comments Hey,

I think the cover for this one is wrong:
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15...
I have this book and it has a different cover and when I google the isbn, I get the same cover as my edition as well.
The correct cover can be found here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tattooed-Girl...
or here:
http://isbn.sprintbooks.co.uk/0007170...
Can somebody please fix this? Thanks :-)

Looks like that was the cover to the hardcover, not the paperback. Although books can have the same ISBN and different covers, I can't find any evidence that is true in this case -- it looks like it was a mistake. So I went ahead and fixed it.

Christina Stind | 59 comments Thanks!
The same seem to be wrong with this one.
I have the hardcover version: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/53...
but the cover on it is the cover on the paperback version:
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/53...

Also, these two should probably be either combined or one of them deleted:
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18...
and
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17...
Thanks, Christina

Christina, is this your book? Checking the ISBN (not just binding type) is sometimes necessary when there are multiple editions.

And I go the extraneous book.

Christina Stind | 59 comments Yes Rivka - it certainly looks like my book but the ISBN is not the same.
I have the hardcover with the ISBN attached to this book: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/53...
but the cover is the cover in the link you posted...

Thanks for fixing the extra book!

Then you have a few choices. Pick the one that has your cover; pick the one that has your ISBN; request that a librarian create a record with your cover, nothing ISBN field, and "alternate cover for ISBN 0786932570" in the description field.

Christina Stind | 59 comments Okay. I'll just pick the one with my cover then - seems like the easiest way out :-)

Yeah, that's what I've done with this sort of scenario. I only use the third option when the cover doesn't correspond to any other existing edition (which happens all the time with reprints on popular books).
