i just went to the local library they have in Grand Rapids, it's HUGE!!!, and i looked up the icemark chronicles, and i read that little brief biography on it, and i rented the entire series!!!!

I ordered the last book in the trilogy from england and read it! I was too impatient to wait till April.

Yeah! My favorite on is Blade of Fire which is the next one! Who was your favorite character? I liked Maggiore Totus(eveybody says his name sounds like Maggoty Tortoise,but still . . .)

Bleh to those ppl! Maggiore Totus isn't my favorite character, but I like him a lot. Hmm... fav char.... i really like the personality of the snow leopards and grishmak, and olememnon is really interesting, but I would have to go for- in a cliche- the main character, Thirrin. But not for the usual reasons. Since I am of a similar age, etc, I can really connect with her and how she is feeling.

Yeah,I teally liked Thirrin! Blade of Fire she isn't the main character though. It switched between her,and her son,Sharley. In the last book it's mostly her though.

Cool. She must be a lot older in the others though. I love how in the series, so much history and myth is woven in. the polypontus is the romans, sharley is charlemagne (im guessing), the hypolitans are the hippolytas of greek myth, etc, etc,...

I know! I wish I had a map of that world to figure out what the others are! Icemark is probably Norway or Greenland and the Land of the Ghosts is the Antartic. Also,in the second book, the city of Venezzia is obvious that it's Venice,Italy. The Southern Continent is probably Asia,there's another place that is the Taklimakan(or Gobi) desert,Africa even makes an appearance somewhere!
