What are you reading at the moment?
Currently reading "Sparkling Cyanide" by Agatha Christie.
I just finished reading Persuasion by Jane Austen and just downloaded Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities from goodreads.
BookGirl wrote: "Love in the Time of Cholera"One of the best and most memorable books I've ever read!
I am currently reading The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer for university and Persuasion by Jane Austen for pleasure :)
Persuasion So many people reading it :) I'm currently reading Mansfield Park by Jane Austen for the first time in my life.
Because the classics in spanish literature are way more different from the english ones. Since last year I started to read Miss Austen and I'm obsess with her work :)
As I Lay Dying is one of my all time favorites. Faulkner was so incredibly ahead of his time with that one.
The Bookshop by Penelope Fitzgerald.
I'm reading The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin and I'm listening to Gillespie and I by Jane Harris
I am reading A Tale For The Time Being by Ruth Ozeki. I'm not gonna lie, the first part was a struggle. I'm half way through now and feel I'm too deep to give up.
Edda wrote: "I'm reading The Secret Garden by Frances Burnett for the first time. I can't believe I haven't read this beloved children's classic before."I LOVE that book. Are you enjoying it?
Currently reading Don Quixote for college class, and The Solitaire Mystery for my own enjoyment. :-)
Edda wrote: "I'm reading The Secret Garden by Frances Burnett for the first time. I can't believe I haven't read this beloved children's classic before."Ah, the magical Secret Garden. :-) It's great, I honestly don't know why I haven't read it before. :-)
Holly wrote: "What order should I read Jane Austen's books?"Any order you like, I think! My first was Pride and Prejudice (I think that one's most people's first Austen read)
Heather wrote: "I am reading A Tale For The Time Being by Ruth Ozeki. I'm not gonna lie, the first part was a struggle. I'm half way through now and feel I'm too deep to give up."That is honestly one of my favourite books of all time :) But fair enough if you’re not enjoying it, I guess if there’s nothing grabbing you by about halfway then it may be a lost cause. I was drawn in from about page 20.
I'm currently reading The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay and I'm about to start The Quiet storm as well.
I am currently reading The New York Trilogy by Paul Auster. So far I'm not exactly thrilled, but I am still giving it a chance! I would really like to read The Quiet Storm, but my local library (or any nearby libriaries) don't have it.. I asked them to buy it, but I think it might take some time.
I've just gone back to reading Andy Warhol again. He's so brilliantly honest and funny and smart.
I am reading A storm of swords by George RR Martin. Next I will be reading the Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini.
