The Homing (Group Read - May 2011)

After a fierce competition with Nathaniel, The Homing has officially been chosen as our May 2011 Group Read. I have fond memories of reading this book about 13 or 14 years ago as a teenager and I hope I still love it. Please consider joining us & post your thoughts in this thread.

Yeah,they have his most recent books but none of the older ones,I can usually get his books from amazon marketplace but i've had no luck this time.I have so much to read a month's break from a group read might help me catch up.

We will allow you a one month break, but that is all. Nathaniel is in June and we will expect you with no excuses accepted :-)

I ordered Nathaniel on audio from the library and then I got an email saying they couldn't find it on the shelf so my hold was canceled...gotta see if I can round up another audiobook of Nathaniel for June. The Homing is not available on audiobook.

I was able to get The Homing at a library book sale. Haven't checked my library for Nathaniel yet, so my luck it won't be there.

What a find! I once found a copy at a used bookstore (along with the complete Blackstone Chronicles) but had to part with it on my journey to the present :-(

Hopefully you can get them again, esecially the Blackstone Chronicles.

So far, I've been able to borrow them from the library for group reads, but I wouldn't mind owning them again :-)

Just finished my last library book, so I will be starting The Homing today.

Started last night. Not that far in, but trying to guess what the prologue has to do with the book. Two seemingly different stories. Time will tell.

They are the same story, it just takes a minute to figure it out.

If your library doesn't have it, ask the librarian about inter-library loan. I've got a copy from the library but I haven't made much progress on reading the book this month :-(

Okay, I didn't do very well reading this - will have to give it another try at another time :-) Nathaniel is our June Group Read.
