Tinea (pist) The "anarchist books" list on listopia has a bunch of good recommendations. It'd be cool for people in this group to contribute to it, as well.

I note someone is trying to use the list to promote nationalist-anarchism or some other garbage.

Tinea (pist) What books are you referring to? I don't know a bunch of them.

Francois Tremblay Ancap crap like Snow Crash needs to be removed post-haste... but apart from that, all my recommendations appear to be there already.

Tinea (pist) Francois-- I don't think GR lets you remove books from a list. Instead, you can vote for your choices (including adding new ones and clicking vote on books already there, which moves them higher up the list, possibly burying the books you disagree with).

You can also explain your disagreements in the comments so other people looking at the list see them.

Tinea (pist) Another Goodreads feature that could use more input is the new genres section. If you're a GR librarian, maybe take some time to help build this up?

The genre page basically gathers all the books, lists, groups, quotes, etc. on GR for a specific tag all onto one page. To begin with, basically all tags (shelves) used so far are their own genres. Librarians can then edit the tags' pages to mark them as a genre, combine synonymous tags to link to one genre page, and add descriptions for the genres.

There's a tag Anarchism, that I marked as a genre, and probably some others that y'all might want to play with.
Things to do:
-add a description/definition of the shelf
-combine duplicate shelves under one genre (for example, I merged "anarchy" and "anarchist" shelf tags so they link directly to the "anarchism" genre. there's probably other synonyms though that should all link to the same genre page)

GR is still futzing with the feature, so the amount we can do with it will probably improve soon. Especially the difference between "shelves" and "genres."
