Josh and Lynx
Valora rolled out of bed and slipped into her robe before going and finding John in one of the other rooms of the suite.
Valora frowned a little and hugged him from behind, resting her head on his shoulder. "that's weird."
Valora frowned. "Last time the signal wasn't working like that we were facing major invasion issues."
She changed into some cute but loose clothing. A light skirt, and a somewhat see-through button up shirt.
Valora shook her head. "Crazy people.... It's not the end of the world." She headed over to the restaurant attached to the hotel.
Valora nodded quickly and ran back into the hotel. she didn't know what was going on, but there wasn't time to ask questions.
((I get the elevator, but I don't understand the "cutting everyone from above the 8th floor" bit....))
((It's swinging? O.o The beam cut all the supports and probably burned at least a foot of the height of the actual building. It would be collapsing, maybe catching fire. Right?))
((If it cut through the entire building it would have gotten every support. If they were wood they'd be burning and couldn't support it. If they were metal it would be warped and not able to support it since so the beam was(I'm assuming) fairly thick...))
((I see... well, the lines holding the elevator would have been cut. So doooowwwn the elevator goes!))
((Oooooh.))A bright light temporarily blinded Valora. She didn't have time to cover her eyes before the elevator lurched and started to drop quickly towards the ground.
Sometime during the falling elevator and Valora being tossed around, her head slammed against an edge of a suitcase and she lost consciousness.
The glass cracked more as the elevator went closer to tumbling down again. She was unconscious still.
The elevator shifted as the glass was seconds from shattering and sending the elevator tumbling back down.
Valora nodded a little and stood up, leaning on him heavily because the world seemed to be spinning and was out of focus to her. She closed her eyes and struggled not to fall over, feeling very dizzy. "Let's go."
The loud, horrible sound of grating metal, breaking glass, and other falling items filled Valora's ears as she held John tightly, her eyes closed. Why weren't they dead yet?
Valora opened up her eyes a brief while later to look around at the destruction. "We... we aren't dead?" She seemed honestly shocked at that.
"Oh, hm....." Valora coughed up a little dust then looked around them some more. "Do you think we should wait until they search for survivors?"
She sneezed at all the dust and held him a little tighter. "Shouldn't we stay put and hide until they go and things settle?" She whispered

Valora smiled flirtatiously. "Oh, I do know what you mean." She let one hand trail over to his chest as she pressed her lips to his in a sweet kiss.
