((It's swinging? O.o The beam cut all the supports and probably burned at least a foot of the height of the actual building. It would be collapsing, maybe catching fire. Right?))
((If it cut through the entire building it would have gotten every support. If they were wood they'd be burning and couldn't support it. If they were metal it would be warped and not able to support it since so the beam was(I'm assuming) fairly thick...))
A bright light temporarily blinded Valora. She didn't have time to cover her eyes before the elevator lurched and started to drop quickly towards the ground.
Valora nodded a little and stood up, leaning on him heavily because the world seemed to be spinning and was out of focus to her. She closed her eyes and struggled not to fall over, feeling very dizzy. "Let's go."
The loud, horrible sound of grating metal, breaking glass, and other falling items filled Valora's ears as she held John tightly, her eyes closed. Why weren't they dead yet?
Valora smiled flirtatiously. "Oh, I do know what you mean." She let one hand trail over to his chest as she pressed her lips to his in a sweet kiss.
