Valora covered her ears tighter, closing her eyes as she wept.

The radio went more fuzzy abruptly.
Valora watched everyone around her with teary eyes before looking away and removing her hands from her ears. It must be over.... Valora stood up and fled the room, sobbing hysterically.

Valora was curled up on her bed, her tears all spent but a look of shock was still clear on her face. How on earth could John do that to her? It wasn't fair!

Valora eventually drifted off into a light, troubled sleep.

Valora woke up a short while later, the nightmares too much.

Valora faintly heard cheering, but she didn't care about anything they were celebrating. Her John was dead and it was their fault.

Valora sat up at the sound of his voice. She must be imagining things. This must be a dream. How could he be alive?

Valora jumped to her feet and ran down the hall and through the door to where all the cheering and laughing was coming from. Her gaze fell on John and she leaned against the door for support as she suddenly went a little lightheaded. He was alive! He really was alive!

After she got over the shock, she pushed her way through the crowd towards him. "John!" Tears of joy were slipping down her cheeks as she finally reached him and flung her arms around him.

Valora kissed him sweetly for a moment before whispering, "I thought I had lost you...."

She brushed away some tears with the back of her hand, "What?"

Valora's eyes went wide as she nodded, "Yes. Yes. I will!" She felt like she was walking in a dream. First he managed to come back when she thought for sure he was dead, and now... marriage! It was too good to be true!

She hugged him back tightly. Never wanting to have to let go. "I love you too."

((Well, the world is almost completely destroyed and very few people are left, so what few are left are going to be getting over language barriers, grief, lack of government control, reforming the government, creating new laws, dealing with a lack of supplies because the entire work force is not operating as it used to, etc.. They have to restart everything. So if we either keep rping them now, or skip a few years, or jump ten years, there's gonna be something we could have happen))

Valora set out her beach towel and relaxed on the beach in her bikini. She looked over at John and smiled a little. "I still can't believe you got everything organized so we could come out here for two weeks. Best surprise anniversary present ever!"
