Valora blushed, smiling, then took a bite of her own food.

((why do you always come on so late? *facepalm* It's 10:20 over here... I really should go.))Valora rested her head in her hands and listened to him.
((I was gone for a couple days. If you had seen my status update you would know...))Valora nodded. "Yes."
"Oh, okay. Uh... are there any jackets here? Maybe a warm pair of pants?" Valora asked, looking down at her short skirt and ripped up shirt.
"I'm hurrying!" Valora dug around and found some clothes to change into. She quickly threw them on, although they were a little large.
Valora covered her face with her hands as a shower of snow and ice rained down on them from the mine. When things had died down some she picked herself up out of the snow and dusted herself off.
Valora rubbed her arms with her hands as she nodded. "Okay..." She leaned down and dug some snow out of her boots so her legs wouldn't feel so numb. "Alright, let's go..." Valora said as she shivered.
Valora followed him closely, her gaze on the mountains around them. A large portion of them were pretty steep.
Valora nodded a little and did her best to follow his footprints. But his stride was longer and the snow was deep so she had to half jump to follow.
"John!" Valora rushed forward, forgetting about the mines. She had gotten a little behind him. She stumbled and almost tripped, but kept running for John. She set off a couple of mines, but none of them did more then spray snow all over her.... and set off an avalanche.
Valora stumbled as the snowy surface below her shifted strangely. "You come too!" She reached for his hand.
Valora fell back, tripping in the snow and from the shove. The entire side of the mountain seemed to be shifting down... but in reality it was just the snow below their feet sliding down. Huge, thunderous sheets or snow were pounding down from above towards them. Not yet there, but would be in a matter of seconds.Valora tried to get back to her feet to run away, but she couldn't. She was being carried too fast by the snow.
"John!" Valora called out in fear. The tons of snow had carried her over the edge of a cliff, and down into the mounds of deep snow below. The cold, hard chunks of snow raining down on her as the force of the impact caused her to black out into unconsciousness.
Valora just lay there unconscious. Freezing, probably with frostbite, and in pain. Even with John there as a shield of sorts. Snow travelled down the cliff to thunder around them and on them.
Valora didn't respond. The cold was slowing her heartbeat down now that she was unconscious and not moving.
((*giggles* You don't know what you're supposed to do when you're in a situation in which someone is freezing cold and/or has frostbite, do you? ;) ))Valora just lay there limply, the cold just too much for her to handle any longer.
((Well, when you're in a situation in which someone(or both people) are freezing you're supposed to share body heat. Which means removing the cold clothing in the way.... So, I guess you could call it stripping and cuddling.... :P There, now you know...))
((I wasn't saying you had to do that. I was just telling you cause I found it amusing what his solution was to the problem. And no, that isn't better because the point is to share body heat and you can't do that when there's any chilly clothing in the way at all! I mean, you could, like, drape clothes or a blanket over you after you both strip so the rest of you isn't cold, but there can't be any clothes between the two people because then you just aren't sharing body heat as well....))
((Yeah, it was. But I would think if they were just pulled into a helicopter or being pulled up it wouldn't be needed just then. :P ))
((okay. Wasn't sure if you wanted to edit or anything.))Valora slowly started to warm back up. Her heartbeat slowly returning to normal.
