Oh, and I don't have time to make a charrie right now, but I should be able to tomorrow. :D

Well I have a little more time, but post'll be pretty slow. So let's plot things out a little.

You're only an hour behind me? haha. I thought you were three hours behind. Oooops.
Name: Valora
Age: 17
Gender: female
Appearance:

Background: Valora lives in a small town in Montana. She's lived there her entire life, and never dreamed of leaving. At the beginning of the war against the aliens, her dad went and enlisted in the army. He died a year later as the war got much worse. Her mom(a doctor) had been taken by the aliens for investigation just one week ago, while she was out traveling with a group of friends over to Canada to be of help to the people out there. It was the first sign that the aliens were going to attack from Canada, which they had just taken over. All the states bordering Canada were put into immediate evacuation as troops traveled up there to protect the borders.

Do you want to post first or shall I?

Valora lightly brushed the curtain aside and peeked out the window. Her gaze fell on the groups of soldiers coming in to evacuate the town. The bell of the church had rung to signal everyone out of their homes and to the town hall, but Valora had ignored it. No way was she leaving. She had to go find her mother.
As a guard looked over in her direction, she hurriedly let go of the curtain and stepped back into the darkness of her living room.

Valora nervously glanced over at the door, and didn't move. She'd let him think that she was out of the house.

"What?" Valora frowned. "You don't need to shout," She grumbled as she headed over to the basement.

Valora got up onto her hands and knees, then plugged her ears with her fingers
The house shook as another explosion went off.

Not wanting to break the silence, but feeling a need to ask, she whispered, "Are they all... dead?"

Tears started to trail down her cheeks as she wrapped her arms around her knees and rested her head on them. Sobbing at the loss of everything she'd ever known.

Valora didn't even want to look, but she had to know... "How bad is it?"
