Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments This thread frustrates the tar out of me. Hmmph!

:/

I got so frustrated reading through it - posts with just the character's name with no reference to which show it's on, when it ran or if it's currently running, and no actor name attached to it...

With that said, I'd have to say my all-time favorite characters are probably:

Nate Fisher (Peter Krause) Six Feet Under
Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) Quantum Leap
Bill Haverchuck (Martin Starr) Freaks and Geeks
Spike (James Marsters) Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter) Angel
Lucy Moran (Kimmy Robertson) Twin Peaks
Bro. Justin Crowe (Clancy Brown) Carnivale

Rosanne (rosannema) Mmmm, tough one so I have listed more than one :-)

Colonel Jack O'Neil (Stargate SG-1)Spike (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Walter (Fringe)
Everyone on Modern Family

I loved watching Carnivale. I am suprised it was not a bigger hit.

It was a huge hit, actually. The problem, from what I remember reading about it, was that it was very pricey to produce. That's why HBO cancelled it. I love the mythology around the show, though... seriously - google it - "Carnivale mythology." Super fascinating stuff. :)

I don't get why anyone would want breasts THAT big. I like to be able to see my feet.

She's built for that 60's fashion. Not so much the skimpy stuff favored by celebrities on the red carpet.

message 73: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments Or the 'let me transform my breasts into baby heads' stuff. Not that that's ever a good look.

message 74: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24816 comments Mod
That is ridiculous. Totally absurd.

Did she have that done for herself? Or just to be an object of enjoyment for men? I know, it's a hopelessly old-fashioned question! It's just that if you're going to make a part of your body that freaking enormous, I hope you yourself are getting something out of it.

She's got lovely eyes, though. And a nice neck.

message 75: by Hazel (last edited May 25, 2012 03:09PM) (new)

Hazel | 37 comments googled her bra size, its 38DDD apparently, I've never seen a 3rd D applied to a bra size before, which makes me suspect they just meant DD. Anyway, she's smaller than me,and mine are natural, so its possible that she didn't have anything done... I'd have to check to be sure though.

message 76: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24816 comments Mod
I'm guessing they're manmade not by the size, but by the shape. Natural breasts, pushed up like that, don't usually look like perfectly round pillows.

message 77: by Hazel (last edited May 25, 2012 03:16PM) (new)

Hazel | 37 comments *pushes up boobs and has a look* actually, they can do, and most of her pics will be airbrushed and photoshopped. I'd suspect she's got a waspy or a corset on to get that sort of shape. I know cos I've done that with a corset.

message 78: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24816 comments Mod
Still not buying it. I mean, I can almost see the implants. With my naked eye.

message 79: by Hazel (last edited May 25, 2012 03:22PM) (new)

Hazel | 37 comments she may have implants, but as a woman with larger breasts, I find it annoying that people assume anything over a certain size is automatically implants.

message 80: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24816 comments Mod
Certainly it's not always implants.

message 81: by Hazel (last edited May 25, 2012 03:31PM) (new)

Hazel | 37 comments she's repeatedly denied having implants, I see no reason to assume she's lying.

Personally, I don't understand anyone wanting larger breasts, its like saying "give me chronic back pain, please".

message 82: by Cheri (new)

Cheri | 795 comments It was Joan on Mad Men that I like as a 'fictional tv character' not Christina Hendricks. Joan's very tight colorful clothes and bouffant hair makes her appear cartoonish but she is really coming along as an intelligent and thoughtful character. So my point is: 'Don't be judging that book by its cover' right, Hazel?

message 83: by Hazel (new)

Hazel | 37 comments the sentiment is a good one, but one thats hard to live by, its human nature to make a judgement within the first couple of seconds of meeting someone, and thats a tough innate trait to overcome.

I've not seen the programme Mad Men... it rings a bell though

I wear a 40DDD and that's a tight squeeze. I simply can't find a bigger cup. I wish I could afford a little nip and tuck here and there just to lift the girls back up where they belong. Their perk has pooped out.
And I agree.......they're hell on your back!

DDD = E

Angela, mine stopped perking long ago, I feel your pain. You can get larger-size bras at www.roamans.com, which isn't entirely gramma clothes.

They do if you're still young enough to have taut skin, which she is.

message 88: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24816 comments Mod
It's not about skin, but about what's underneath the skin.

I like that show but I'm going with Watson as my favorite character (I actually love Sherlock but my criteria for favorites usually involves being able to stand to be in their company without wanting to punch them and I just don't think I could do that with him) :)

Thanks for clearing that up for me, learn something new everyday. Is that american sizing then?

It used to be hell trying to get large cup sizes in the UK, now most lingerie shops have a special section for them, all large size bras. I go to Marks and Spencers, where they go up to size J or something, its still a limited selection, but when I need new bras, I can usually find at least two sized at the 38GG that I need... though last time, I had to buy 2 of the same type, because shape and fit is important too, and it was the only one that was comfortable, and I still had to order the 2nd one in...
