I noticed this because Joe McGinniss, Jr. sorts as "Jr., Joe McGinniss" instead of "McGinniss, Joe, Jr." On the other hand, Bill Martin, Jr. is listed as "Bill Jr. Martin", which isn't right either. Can there be a suffix field in the author listing, perhaps?

This is a known bug. When it (and the related sorting issues with two-part last names) will get fixed is unclear.
sorry to join this old thread, but what do you mean by you fixed Bill martin Jr.? It drives me nuts that the author sort doesn't work properly, ie sort by surname not suffix. thanks, Rob

Is there any plan for a reasonably soon fix of this issue? It's been 1 1/4 years since it was mentioned first.
It's been a lot longer than 1 1/4 years. I'm pretty sure they've known about this issue since the start.
