What was the last book you read & how was it?

I finished Shattered Vessels by Nancey Flowers and it was ok. Nothing special. A lot of the book has useless information that didn't advance the story one bit.

I just finished reading Whore by Tynika Lynch and it was a good book. It kept me on the edge of my seat and was a true page turner.

My last book was Suddenly Single by Shana Burton. It was ok, but very predictable and slow moving until the end. It did keep my attention.

I just finished Born In The Streets but Raised In Prison by Tra Verdejo. I met this brother at Wagfest Cincinnati where we were both selling our books. Tra has written the real life story of Victor Davila, who became a drug lord at the age of 12. It's written in a unique style: Victor is actually telling the story from a 1st person narrative viewpoint. I highly recommend this book for ANY lover of street lit. Not only is it well written, but Real recognizes Real every time.

I just finished Mina's Joint by Keisha Ervin and was very disappointed. I had high expectations for this book because I love Keisha Ervin, but the book was not that good to me. It held my attention for a few parts and then completely didn't have my attention for a lot of other parts. I'm glad I read it and got it out of the way, but I won't be reading it again and will be getting rid of my copy.

Every Women Needs a Wife it was to slow for me and kept switiching from past to present with all the characters. Didn't even finish the book to painful!

Obsession by Kayla Perrin

Really good read. I give it a 3 stars

Sophie's husband cheated on her. Sophie was very upset. Andrew, her husband, told her to even the score and have her own affair. She meets Peter at a club and they have the most passionate, and animalistic sex ever, but Peter doesn't seem to want Sophie just for an affair. He wants a whole lot more. Peter becomes very obsessed with sophie. Perrin takes you on a ride with this novel. It's full of suspense, great sex scenes and dead cats...

I just started Home Wrecker and so far it's really good. I'm a little past page 100. I am also going to start Steve Harvey's book today!!!

Dm, I thought I did, but apparently not. I just looked up her other books and didn't see any that I read. I think I got her confused with Kayla Perrin and I bought a ton of Allison Hobbs books. I just finished The Climax and although it was better than Insatiable, I still didn't like it.

Well doing my spring getaway. I did put in a few books just finished Desperate Hoodwives by Meesha Mink and another author don't know for the top of my head but, the book was ok not better then Shameless Hoodwives or Hood Life.
Also read A Sticky Situation by Kiki Swinson I liked all her Wifey books and CandyShop so I had to see how this book was and have to say that this book had me turning pages after pages got me from the start.

Oh and also finished a book by a new author Nikki Turner is the presenter for this author name Freeze the book called Against the Grain. Was a good book. I will totally read more by this author in the future. :)

just read Diary of A Street Diva by Ashley Jaquavis and it was great. I enjoyed the whole book but the twist was what got me. I loved it.

I just finished Sleeping with the Enemy. It was 2 different stories in the book by 2 different authors and it was filled with drama. It was a pretty decent read. Because they are short stories, it got right to the point.

I just finished Basketball Jones by E. Lynn Harris and it was good. It had a very likable main character but it was just kind of predictable for me. I knew exactly who was behind the black mailing all along so that was a bit disappointing.

I just read "Queen Bitch" by Deja King this is the last of series of books by her. The book was good like her others but left me very upset (not wanting to tell the story)!!
