Braiden | 333 comments Alright I got to get the US covers for the Fire and Graceling cos I have these UK/Aus paperbacks and I dislike the colour of them uggh. Here I come book depository!

message 52: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (lisao_0) wow, Braiden are you seriously a uni student? I don't even have complete series on my shelf let alone different versions of the same book!!! this is what i don't get about Twilight book collectors what's the pont of buying three of the same books? Yer the white covers are nice though ....:/ although I do have two copies of VA ( ones signed though...)

message 53: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (lisao_0) I keep saying though...Cass! I watched Red Riding Hood and it was good but it could have been better but gosh, the boys *drool* Pete and Henry SO HARD TO DECIDE, although I think I like Pete a wee but better coze I like the bad boy thing ( how'd you know anyway?) but I feel sorry for the underdog so I'll give love the Henry as well!

message 54: by Braiden (new)

Braiden | 333 comments Uggh just bought the Hardcovers off Book Depository just then. Got excited. I still need to finish Graceling :(

message 55: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (lisao_0) Graceling is SO GOOD! Loved it! The ending is a little sad but it's good :P

message 56: by Braiden (new)

Braiden | 333 comments I started Graceling but I couldn’t get into it...maybe wasn’t the right mood.

message 57: by Kikkra Reads (new)

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) o0o0o0o when is may is it (the syd one) ill come!!!

message 58: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (lisao_0) Braiden, the start is a little boring but it's really worth it! I really loved it and can't wait to read Fire ;)

message 59: by Saskia (new)

Saskia (deckled_pages) | 310 comments Cass and Kylie... I am so there. I haven't read Graceling or Fire either, so don't worry. :)

I am mega pumped for CC though. There's this party at the Arthouse in Sydney that she's hosting or something... It's like, $40 to get in... I'll get details, but any Sydney kids want to come?

message 60: by Kikkra Reads (new)

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) MEEEEEEEEEEE *waves hand in air* lol I just need the date and I AM THEER!!! hehe

message 61: by Braiden (new)

Braiden | 333 comments Only if I was in Sydney....but....Melbourne is the best city to *live* in remember :p

message 62: by Kikkra Reads (new)

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) Sorry boy, you are wrong! Sydney is number one :P

message 63: by Cass (new)

Cass (casswordsonpaper) | 144 comments Haha. We need actual details. Everything's pretty vague right now. $40 seems like a fair penny. I might not come for that reason (remember I . . . don't work); besides, I might see someone from school and then it'd be awkward haha. But I'm definitely up for Kristin Cashore!! Because I want to talk about that Graceling trailer LOL! You seen it?

@Braiden: Yeah, but Sydney is getting better! I think anyway. The trains are more on schedule than before, at least.

message 64: by Braiden (new)

Braiden | 333 comments LOL you got that right about the trains.

Oh god I love working now for $20.73/hr and then Sundays $41.46/hr. Such a great life ushering.

message 65: by Kikkra Reads (new)

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) I tutor so Im at 25 an hour... but no weekend work *sigh*

message 66: by Braiden (new)

Braiden | 333 comments Going to resign soon from McDonald’s after over 3 years because there’s no point in me working for that low pay now since I have a higher pay at the theatre ushering. Just going to wait until i get my 50% off mcdonalds card because I got crew member of the quarter. I barely also work at Maccas anymore. All i do is like 3 hrs on Tuesdays which is stupid of me.

message 67: by Kikkra Reads (new)

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) So I feel like an old lady tonight... its 10.45 and all I wanna do is sleep :/ I dont even have the energy to read and its all I wanna do atm lol

message 68: by Saskia (new)

Saskia (deckled_pages) | 310 comments I've been at work all night, I need sleeeeeep. :/

Okay, I'll create a new topic for the event which has all the details on it :)

message 69: by Kikkra Reads (new)

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) people do your R.A.K's as well.. lol I look like I did it just cause I want stuff which isnt the case at all LOL!

message 70: by Cass (new)

Cass (casswordsonpaper) | 144 comments I think it's daylight savings. i'm dead tired too! :C

:L So much easier to be a male. Really good money for a standard job, I think. Actually I'm not sure what it exactly entails. Do you mean the guys who check in while the movies run, and stuff like that? Or are you talking THEATRES?

message 71: by Braiden (new)

Braiden | 333 comments Yep I'm talking theatre theatre - musicals, productions, the progressional ones. Thursday night (yes I'm working in my birthday) will be coming to my 13/14th time watching/ushering for Hairspray at the Princess Theatre. I did Rock of Ages once at the Comedy Theatre, haven't done the Regent Theatre. This company owns all three theatres besides the Her Majesty's where Mary Poppins was so we get to work at them.

Btw: Us "higher-paying" ushers don't have to clean unlike the movie ones.

Nikki | 28 comments Braiden wrote: "Did you want to swap for that?"

message 73: by Braiden (new)

Braiden | 333 comments So I have many books I don’t want anymore and want to get rid of either via swap, R.A.K or selling.

If you’re interested you know the drill.

message 74: by Nomes (new)

Nomes (nomesr) | 48 comments Eep! I would have wanted GRACE but I only *just* ordered it (hasn't arrived yet) ~ I couldn't see your shelves before...

message 75: by Braiden (new)

Braiden | 333 comments Mine’s hardcover haha.

message 76: by Nomes (new)

Nomes (nomesr) | 48 comments I ordered the hard cover too. The paperback isn't out until December ~ which is TOO long to wait :)

message 77: by Saskia (new)

Saskia (deckled_pages) | 310 comments Braiden, I'm interested in Graceling and Fire although I'm pretty sure I still don't have anything you want...

message 78: by Kikkra Reads (new)

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) Oh I really wanna read Graceling and Fire too (Sas, if you get it can I borrow them off you one day?)

message 79: by Nic (new)

Nic | 40 comments Hi Braiden,

message 81: by Lisa (new)

message 85: by Lisa (new)

message 86: by hollyishere (new)

hollyishere | 166 comments What is GRACE like? I might be interested in trading that one.

message 87: by Ellen (new)

Ellen (ellen-jay) | 5 comments hi :) just wondering have you swapped graceling and fire yet ?

message 88: by Braiden (new)

Braiden | 333 comments I haven’t yet. But f.y.i Graceling has serious spinage injury (well just many creases - not from me - ebay).

message 89: by Ellen (new)

Ellen (ellen-jay) | 5 comments i love ebay but those are the risks :P
are they really noticeable? i have book condition OCD..

message 90: by Braiden (new)

Braiden | 333 comments Fire is perfect...but Graceling is not that good for you then. I like perfect condition too so don't worry.

message 91: by Braiden (new)

Braiden | 333 comments Actually graceling is not ‘that’ bad. Up close you can see creases but it looks alright to me.

message 92: by Kikkra Reads (new)

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) Braiden, if Ellen decided against Fire. can I put my hands up for it?

message 93: by Ellen (last edited May 24, 2011 06:35PM) (new)

Ellen (ellen-jay) | 5 comments thanks Braiden but i've managed to track down a copy (finally - apparently they ran out of them at the publishers! O.O).
so Kylie its all yours :)
