I haven't finished it... but this book makes me laugh :) the characters are so absurd, I just have to laugh :)
I totally agree. Every single character is so absurd and weird! It has big charm for me. I love Trixie, poor she just want to retire, but Levy´s wife is so into psychology and she thinks Trixie would feel useless. It´s so funny :))
Yeah... and Ignatius is the paroxism of pathetic :)) and he thinks he is like a God... he's a little bit gross, but I get the point the author puts on the world...
I'm only at the beginning...not sure how I feel about it yet. Ignatius is a character I truly cannot stand, but I'm guessing that's what the author wanted.
I actually find Ignatius to be sympathetic. He's awful, but the fact that he's so out of touch with reality makes me pity him. The other characters aren't much better. The only one who seems to really know what is going on is Jones (Whoa!).
Hi! Seeing as there are only a few days left of this group's reading of A Confederacy of Dunces and I'm somewhat behind, and highly disliking it, I was wondering what other's thoughts on the book were? I had really high hopes for this one, since Rory mentioned it in her valedictorian speech!I wrote a blog post about this too:
