I LOVED the "Choose Your Own Adventure" series when I was a kid. They really got me interested in reading on my own and I am forever grateful. Very happy news that they are back in print!

I never read any others along these lines, but a quick search of my library reveals a few in the choose-your-own style:

Meanwhile: Pick Any Path. 3,856 Story Possibilities.

Captured by Pirates

Milo and the Magical Stones & sequel

Thanks again!"

Yay! Hope they love it :-)

Lisa Ard (lisaa) Also check out the "You Choose Books". Our library has a whole collection of these books, each covering a different historical event. You can see an example on Goodreads: The Titanic (You Choose Books), by Bob Temple.
My son loves all these!

David | 1 comments This will give this post a needed bump.

I have also been trying to find the names of the Choose Your Own Adventure style of books, I found a few in my library:

1) "Which Way Books" Series by RG Austin, also Edward Packard (Who authored many of the "Choose Your Own Adventure" series) and others. This series features several Star Trek branded CYOA books.

2) "Endless Quest" Series by Rose Estes Published by TSR Hobbies which features the Dungeons and Dragons branded Fantasy CYOA books. These were published on nicer paper but otherwise follow the same format of the CYOA series.

There is a wiki page on these types of books and I would encourage anyone who is looking for these types of books to visit and anyone who finds a series to edit the wiki page to add additional series. Here is the link:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...

In case the link does not show up search wikipedia for "List of Gamebooks"

QNPoohBear | 9062 comments American Girl has some. They used to have modern books like that Braving the Lake under the InnerStar University line.

Now they have historical choose your own ending books. I enjoyed the ones I read more than I thought. Some of them just rehash the plots and lessons from the original stories but others add more depth and understanding to the time period.
The Roar of the Falls: My Journey with Kaya
Gunpowder and Tea Cakes: My Journey with Felicity
A New Beginning: My Journey with Addy
The Lilac Tunnel: My Journey with Samantha
The Glow of the Spotlight: My Journey with Rebecca
Full Speed Ahead: My Journey with Kit
Prints in the Sand: My Journey with Nanea
Chances and Changes: My Journey with Molly
The Sky's the Limit: My Journey with Maryellen
Music In My Heart: My Journey with Melody

The ones I have not read are
Song of the Mockingbird: My Journey with Josefina
A Brighter Tomorrow: My Journey with Julie

QNPoohBear | 9062 comments For someone who HATED the Choose Your Own Adventure Books, I gave A New Beginning: My Journey with Addy 5 stars! I'm such a history nerd! I like the plot lines that incorporate the history of the time period than the basic adventure plot. Each story is framed by a narrative about a modern day girl "you" who needs to learn a lesson. My nieces haven't read these yet although I did give 10 year old the Kaya book for Christmas.

"What Should Danny Do?" is an Amazon bestseller that offers several books in a series. The books give readers choices, which lead them in different directions!
