Danielle Part of this is a little ambitious (I think you'll probably be able to tell which one!) but here goes...

1. Ulysses by James Joyce
2. An Artist of the Floating World by Kazuo Ishiguro
3. One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
4. Perfume by Patrick Suskind
5. The Heart is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers
6. The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner

I'm wondering if I'll even make it past the first one!!

Ambitious perhaps, but I'll also be looking forward to hearing what you think of the different books. Nobody says you have to read them in order, if you'd prefer to tackle another one first ;)

Danielle Well I had already started Ulysses and One Hundred Years of Solitude. I usually keep one book at home to read and another at work. Ulysses is my work book so I'm sure to get through the rest at home! I think I've actually gotten past the whole being scared of Ulysses thing. As I'm reading it I've just come to accept that there are certain things I just won't understand haha! The good thing about it is that you really get sucked into the rhythm of it which makes it go down a little more smoothly.

Danielle Ok just finished One Hundred Years of Solitude...it was fabulous! On to The Sound and the Fury now. Still also working on Ulysses but I know that one will take me a while.
