Which LOTR character are you?

Maybe being an Ent wouldn't be too bad, so long as it was deep in the middle of Fangorn, and not near the camp fires of the Rohirrim, or Saruman's furnaces! ;-)
Curious; was Tauriel in any of the options?

Although I strongly disliked P.J.'s invention of a character not in J.R.R.'s book, I did indeed loved who Tauriel was, and how she was not afraid to BE who she was! Although not one of the High Elves, she was indeed every bit Elve, female, and Heroine! (As I have mused before, if I were able to produce The Silmarillion, she (Tauriel ) would have a place on the screen!)
Lizzy, I would cast my vote toward Tauriel, if I were evaluating you. (Hope you weren't trying for Legolas!) :-)

That's funny!:)

Oh thank you Strider, I don't know if I can quite see myself as Tauriel. I definitely don't think I would be as heroic (nor as well spoken in speaking my mind *wink*). If I was completely honest, I'd have to say I was more of Bilbo or Frodo (though I really like the Elves). Being the person who would rather stay home, but loving adventures and things heroic. I can see myself more as that person (or hobbit.)
Now if I had to pick someone for you. It would either be Gandalf (with your wisdom and knowledge, and perception of the small things effecting the big.) Or again Bilbo would be pretty close.

You know, I am beginning to notice the obvious (Daaahhh), that the body has its limitations, as it has only been given a measure of gifts, talents, and abilities, as well as it being limited by natural laws. But, the Spirit has none of those limits. And maybe that is why so many of you are prolific readers! You are able to enter into any Time Zone any time you choose, become anyone one you want to be, do anything you want to do, and can become any character in any book you choose. You have so few limits with your inner-self/soul/spirit.
I may be off base here, but in considering what I like to read, what I prefer to identify with in my reading, and asking myself WHY I enjoy some books over others, I begin to see a pattern, one that helps me better understand myself.
Hey, I'm the guy who went to very few movies, but when LOTR came out, I watched the each of the three almost 20 times at the theater! (Went broke from admission and popcorn!) Why? What was so compelling about the themes in those movies? This told me a lot about myself! (Still working on it, by the way, because I still watch them occasionally on DVD, reread the books periodically, and "listen to the books" being read on mp3 often while working!! And that doesn't include my listening to both the soundtracks AND the scores occasionally.)
But why? What in the world would "cause" someone to enter into this world of Elves and Men and Dwarves and Orcs and Hobbits and Ents, spending so much of life amid these "friends and enemies?" Maybe that is part of my forordained quest.
Perhaps I will discover what I am truly afraid of, or fear the most. Maybe these adventures will expose my true feelings about those who are different from me. Or even help me to better understand the dichotomy between good and evil, not allowing those lines to be blurred, as they often are today, e.g. 50 Shades of Gray.
Hey, I am just one more world traveler, like you, seeking to better understand who I am, what I am here for, and where I am going. And if "character tests" help me with that, then all the better! Even if I do end up being an Orc or an Ent! :-D
P.S. When I work in homes, one of the first things I look for is "the book case." I can learn more about my customers from the books they have on their shelves than anything, other than conversation. From it, I can often learn their general and specific interests, what line of work they may be in, even their temperament style. Books so often reveal/expose the inner person often more than a good counselor can discover.
I think it may have been Socrates that said, that an unexamined life is not worth living. A bit harsh, perhaps, but I do think I understand where he was coming from. But then, I don't think he knew about Orcs and Ents back in his day!!! :^)

Maybe being an Ent wouldn't be too..."
