i would choose amelie or michael from the morganville vampires, i wouldnt want to be crazy but i wouldnt want to be super soft like the cullens
Vampire Academy. Although I would rather be a dhampir (half vamp, half human) like Rose and Dimitri.

I like 2 vampires: Nigel from "a diary of a wimpy vampire" because he made me laugh -a lot-and Matthew from "a discovery of witches" because so far, I don't know what to think about him...
i think house of night has the coolest type of vampires coz they grow into being a vampire, dont just turn. :> my fave vamps are jasper from twilight and stark from HoN. Jasper gets points from sparkles =)
i agree with Jazmyn. I love the vampire academy, and the Moroi and dhampirs. I think that whole story world is cool.
I agree with Anni about house og night thatas pretty amazing, at least if you survive the change
I think my favorite was HON's/PC Cast's/Kristen Cast's vampire. I also loved Blue Bloods'/de la cruz's Vampire. Both types of vampires have very unique and specific qualities. I also love how classic vampires are in the MI series.
HON:
A spiritual based vampire. Chosen by the Goddess.
They have affinities for Earth Wind Fire Spirit and Water and they also have other powers or specialties. I love how they tie that into vamparism(sp?).
Tats are formed on their skin when they complete a certain missin if you will. Although Zoey Redbird, protagonist, has the most and most elaborate tats of her kind.
Blue Bloods:
A sort of bibliological vampire. Vampire by bloodlines. They have powers but they use spells as well as they do in HON. They have super speed, they can change forms if they are powerful enough. They also have soulmates. But they are also angels, not all of the vampires but the all of the blue bloods have past lives or cycles as they say in the book, they are angels. Schuyler Van Alen, the main character, is the daughter of the angel/blue blood, Allegra Van Alen aka Gabrielle and the father of a human red blood. Red bloods are basically the food. Then there are Silver blood, who were blue bloods that were turned by demons or Lucifer...i cant remember.

I love all the ones i read about but one of te ones i like in specific is the house of night vampires and the ones from thirst

Plus angel was actually originally a bad vampire but only became good because he was cursed and got his soul back and the reason he and buffy never worked out is because in actuality he always wanted his soul back, because he is angeles(sp?) and being with buffy wasnt good for him. But SPIKE, well even though he started being good because of the chip in his head, spike actually fell in love with buffy, turned good on his own for her, and got his soul back FOR HER through a series of painfully excruciating torturous tests. so spike for the win. plus....he was her champion in the last season.

Of all of them I like the ones with a bit of humor. Edward was never funny nor dark so he did nothing for me.
Stephan from the Mercedes series by Patricia briggs. Maintains the originality of a true vampire with personal traits to make him unique. He owns a vw bus that was turned into the mystrey machine. On the note thou wulf from this series probably a close second. I will also back simon, a classic development character.
