I finished a library book, "returned" it via ADE as usual, and then deleted it from my Nook as usual. I was surprised to then still see the book, no longer on my "library" shelf and now listed as unshelved. I tried to delete it again and got the message "failed to delete item." This has happened three times. Any idea what's going on? Should I plug it in and manually remove the file?

Dorie (dorieann) I've always found the easiest way to delete a book permanently is to log into the B&N web site and go to 'My Nook Library' and delete it from there. Then after you sync your library on your Nook it should be gone. Good luck.

It's not a B&N book, it's a library book.

Jenny Q (jenny_q) | 34 comments Did you add it through ADE? If so, hook your Nook up and open ADE, you should be able to delete it there. Or did you save it directly to your Nook? Hook your Nook up and open the directory to view the files and you can delete it from your My Documents folder. Hope that helps!

That did it, thanks Jenny. I should probably always do it that way.

But ADE is acting so weird! Every time I bring it up, it re-downloads the library books I already downloaded. And it freezes constantly.

Jenny Q (jenny_q) | 34 comments That is strange. You can go to Adobe's website and chat live with tech support. Hopefully it will be a simple fix.
