Karrie looked out the window of her mom's new Ford Explorer. Trees and bushes and potato farms rushed by her, as the car excelled a notch to keep up with the limo ahead. Mara turned on the radio with her right elbow, carefull not to take her hand off the wheel. She was a safety geek like that. Mara was Karrie's new step-sister, as of...three day's ago. Karrie's mom had gotten married in California, the true Golden State. Apparently, Karrie's new step-father was some rich bimbo dude that lived in a HUGE mansion in Idaho. At first, Karrie doubted there was such a house in IDAHO! But she agreed to move. The mansion had many secrets, and many adventures waiting to be explored.

(( well in the country there's lots of farms; onion farms , potato farms, and others so yes there's lots of them. :D ))
A few hours later, and Karrie was still in the car. She never had fully understood what boring means until now. Mara was nice as usual, but very quiet when it came to talking about her home. An hour or so ago, Karrie has asked Mara about the so called 'secrets' of the mansion, and Mara pulled into a Country Town Buffet and responded with, "Out you go, Kiddo, brunch is a waiting!" Mara never answered Karrie, and Karrie decided not to pester Mara. She didn't want an enemy. Especially one with food, money, and a car.
((I like how you wrote that! I LOVE POTATES 2!!))They walked into the Buffet and quickly chose their dinners. As they picked gloomly at thier food, the entire Buffet chattered away, all execpt table 56. The silence drooped over the table like cobwebs. Karrie sipped her milk, glancing out the window. She wondered, What secrets await us in the mansion?
((I like potatoes after they're fried, but not any other way))Mara spoke up startling Karrie. "The mansion isn't really old enough to have secrets you know. It was only built 10 years ago."
"But was it built on buried Indians or over some sacred land?" Kerrie knew she sounded like a wining child as she said this, so she tried to keep the enthusiasm out of her voice. Mara just shrugged. Karrie decided that she must be like that about everything. Unconcerned, shrugging everything that might be interesting away.
((My grandmother has a cat named Mara and I went to the zoo last week & they had a hippo named Mara. :P))
